Trying to find a new obsession??? HHHMMM!!!! I just don't know about that, that is hard to do especially when food was it for so long. I try and meal plan and sometimes it just doesn't work for me. I am thinking of making an appointment for when Jessie comes back. She is out of the office all next week. I will see how it goes until then.

Well, I had my first fill 2 days ago. I am feeling some restriction, but not as much as I would like. She put in 3 cc's in a VG band. I am getting the hiccups when I am full, but it seems like there is more food going in that I had expected. I am portioning these out. I can eat a whole Lean Cuisine. Is this normal?

MOM- I have lost 2 pounds this week, and recieved my first fill yesterday. I am feeling pretty good. I am sorry it took so long to post, but I couldn't get logged in, something was up with the site. Have a great day. Erin

MOM- I haven't lost anything this week. Sorry I didn't post it yesterday, I was at the hospital seeing my niece right after work and then came home and went to bed. Thanks again for doing all of the tracking for us, we all appreciate it very much!! Erin

At my surgery center we are told not to drink protein shakes at all. We are to be training ourselves to eat real food, just less of it. Examples of a meal: Breakfast: 1 medium boiled egg and a glass of milk Lunch: a lean cuisine or a 3 oz can of tuna and a 1/2 cup of veggies Dinner: 3 oz of chicken or fish and 1/2 cup of veggies (I love ground turkey and it goes down really easy) Snacks: No sugar added fruit cup or a 100 calorie pack of something I try and keep my snacks at about 100 calories and my meals between 250-350 calories. I hope this helps. :girl_hug: Erin

Hi all, it has been a long while since I have posted. I am now down 23 pounds. I am so excited. With my other group we are doing a Christmas challenge. I am hoping to hit my goal by then. I hope you all are doing well. Erin -
MOM- I weighed in today and I have lost 2 pounds! WOOHOO! I will get my first fill on November 1st. I can't wait. I hope everybody has a great day. Erin

I have been adding in some Benefiber and that really helps a lot for the constipation. I have also been eating more fruits, but I am also at the end of my mushy stage. WOOHOO!

I just grabbed a small square pan that is deep. I didn't cover it. I cook most meats on 350 degrees. It sometimes takes a little longer, but it turns out much more moist. I tried something new tonight. I had some turkey breast. I added some salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Olive oil. I added a half an onion, yellow and orange pepper, frozen peas, and frozen broccoli. I cooked it on 350 degrees for about 35-45 minutes. I can't remember how long. It turned out wonderful!! I hope this helps. Erin

LOL! I use a cakepan so that it holds the moisture. My children love it when I cook my chicken like that. It cooks to perfection, but when their Dad makes chicken it almost always ends up DRY. Erin

I cook my chicken breast to utter perfection. I take a boneless skinless chicken breast from the freezer. I like it already bagged. I put it into a cake pan and put a bit of olive oil in there and salt, pepper, garlic power, and some Wocestershire sauce. I then bake it on 350 for about 35-40 minutes. It is so tender and moist, I don't have a problem with it at all. I haven't had a fill yet, but this might help ya'll.

I have a problem with my port. I hurt it at work, but the incisions don't seem to want to close all the way and heal up. I still have scabs. I don't want to pick at them, but sometimes they sure do itch. If I lean on the counter or something like that, my port gets a little sore.

My starting weight is 310 and my goal will be for 285 by Christmas. Thanks for letting me do it on my day MOM. I appreciate it. Erin

I would love to do the X-mas challenge, but I just can't weigh on Monday's. I seem to either not lose or gain if I weigh in on Mondays. I weigh on Wednesdays (the day of surgery) and I am down a pound or two. Today it was a pound. I don't know if I can do the X-mas challenge because I don't want to weigh on Mondays .
-
Well, I went to support group the other night and I don't normally weigh in on Mondays, it said I had gained 5 pounds back. I weigh in this morning on my usual day and it was 1 pound lost. GRRRR!! This is frustrating. I am calling today to make my appt for my first fill. I know I need it.

I did the same thing. I was on a 4 week Medifast plan before hand and I had to stop taking my Avandia for my diabetes, I have been off meds for several weeks now. I haven't had a blood sugar over 126 in that long!! It feels great to get off the meds. I am also off from my blood pressure meds and I am off from my kidney meds. What a difference a 22 pounds and a better diet does for you. Take Care, Erin -

Well, I weighed myself yesterday and I have not seen anymore progress, I will weigh myself again tomorrow and then from now on only on Wednesdays. I don't know why I am getting so disappointed. I know I haven't had a fill yet. I am trying my hardest to track my calories and make sure I am staying between 800-1300. This is so hard when you don't have any retriction and know that you can eat anything you want and eat right around the band. :faint:

Teleah, The band is going to be the best tool you have ever used in your life!! You are going to be learning to eat to live, not live to eat. I believe your family dinners will be wonderful for you. Just because you won't eat a large plate or two, doesn't mean that you won't be able to enjoy it. I am not saying that you do that, I use to. I believe you are making the right decision. -
Wow, I hear you about wanting to eat all the time. I don't know what I would do if the band weren't there to tell me that I shouldn't be eating that or you might rip a stitch. I just can't believe the hunger. I won't get a fill until after the 1st of November. I don't like that. I think that I should be able to get one sooner, but you have to do what your doctor says and behave yourself. LOL. I just don't know how to control it, but I am trying in every way possible.

Wow! I am so happy to be here with all of you. I can't wait for my weigh in on Wednesday. I was walking with my family yesterday and I looked down and I couldn't see my stomach protruding from underneath my breasts anymore!! I couldn't believe it. I haven't seen that since before my 2nd child! That is quite an accomplishment for me. Well, good luck to each and every one of you and I wish you well.
