I have Aetna and located in Missouri. My plan required a 6 mo medically supervised diet without a net gain from start to finish. I had no trouble getting approved. I understand there are different tiers when it comes insurance, so it's possible to have different requirements. I was sleeved on May 9th and had my first follow up today. My surgery date is May 9th this coming Monday. I would love to keep in touch with people who are getting sleeves around the same time as well. Surgery set for May 9. I'm definately feeling the nerves! Today was day 8 on the pre-op liquid diet. I ain't gonna lie, it's hard.... doable BUT hard! Having little ones to care after and feed make it that much harder. I don't even want to go into the kitchen, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. 1st week: 2 Protein shakes and 1 small meal 700-800 cal per day. 2nd week: 3 Protein Shakes along with sf Jello, pudding, slim milk, sf popsicles..etc keep under 800 cal.
