  1. Hello a few of you have asked me to share my success story and how I have been able to maintain 144 lb weight loss for the past 4 years with no extra skin. Although my story may not be the same for you all I was fortunate enough to not have a lot of excess skin. I am a firm believer in weight training and resistance training consistency is key!! We all fail, we all have bad days do not!!! Beat yourself up.. just pick up where you left off..   2. As of September 9th this year it has been 4 years since I had my surgery! I have been extremely successful and have maintained my weight loss and healthy life style! I am happier then ever and would not change my decision for the world! I wish you all success love and happiness.. Work your band! don’t let your band work you!     I agree! That is why I said my results may not be the same for everyone. I smoked for years and have been overweight my entire life, I would love the surgery on my arms. But I don’t blame anything on genetics etc... it’s all an excuse sorry it is. That’s the same excuse I used when I was FAT. All results vary I do agree with that. But I did have a lot!!! of excess skin on my stomach. I do a rigorous crunch session every day. No excuses I work very very hard, I tried this last step before getting a tummy tuck. It worked.

    My day has started well!! A few of you have asked me what I have done to maintain my weightloss for almost 4 years and what I have done to keep away from the dreaded lose skin.Here are a few examples from my daily routine.. 1. Wake up 4:30am at the gym by 5:00am stretching by 5:15 2. Spin class from 5:30-6:30am 3. Drink A protien shake 10-15 min after work out 4. Get ready to work by 8 am 5. Eat first meal, small oat meal OJ and a half apple sliced 6. lunch half chicken breast spinach salad, lemon juice for dressing and cottage cheese table spoons 1:00pm 7. Snack dry almonds 8-10 pieces 8. dinner 1/2 Ground turkey patty 1/2 cup mashed potatos brocolie 7pm 9. Walk or jog with the dogs 1 hour Lotts of water! i drink at least 10 bottles per day! Add resistance trainning to your work out! Remember you are losing weight very fast, you dont want to lose valuable muscle mass. Do a lot of reps not a lot of weight! There is no magic number just do it to muscle failuer, meaning do the reps until you cant do anymore! I went from that to this! In two years! This is not an easy fix, it takes time and dedication! You can do it!

    I started about a year after. I lost the weight due to majior back issues so after I lost 100 lbs I have a spinal fusion and literally began weight training a month after back surgery

Just want to show that if you work out hard you dont need surgery to remove skin in some cases... simple cardio and crunches do the trick.   14. Hi there! From time to time I pop in and say hello, I was thinking about 4th of July 2008 and how I posted about this being the last 4th of July I would spend fat! I was 272 lbs and miserable. I kept that promise to myself! And this 4th of July I will be wearing a bikini! You can do it! You owe it to yourself! your loved ones and your body! Happy Fourth Of July!

  17. I hope you all had a great 4th of July! I know I did! I wore a bikini!!! and I felt great! I wasn't covering up and sitting in the background! What a wonderful feeling! I know we can all feel this someday! Stay strong stay positive and work your BAND!

    I was a former athlete in my youth lol so the gym is natural for me, but you dont have to live at the gym for results. I had back surgery about 2 years ago and i was still at about 200lbs, i walked and thats all, i watched my food and I still lost the weight. I lift now and do a lot oif cardio and resistance training.

  22. Hi there! It sure has been a while since i have visited! My surgery was almost 4 years ago! and I am still going strong! I am down 132 lbs and running marathons! This surgery was the best decision I have ever made! if you are struggling with the decision to have lap band please just do what is right for you. Everyone is different and can tolerate different foods. Do what works for you. Don’t let your band work you! Work Your band! and you can’t do it without being mobile! You must exercise! I am post some updated pictures! I am so proud for once in my life I am living again! 96% excess weight lost!!! besos!!! G
