What a great feeling! Congrats! Now set a new mini goal to work toward!

I'm still a little shy about posting pics and don't have good recent ones. Maybe I'll take my camera to work tomorrow and have one of the girls take a pic. We'll see how it turns out.

The people in my life are so great! I am so fortunate to have very supportive family, friends and co-workers. They all have lifted my spirits during this journey. Last week a Dr. (who I have worked with for over 10 years and consider family) told me I was looking like a stick woman. He struggles with weight himself and said it as a compliment. Of course I don't look like a stick woman, as I am still a couple pounds into the obese category, but his compliment made me feel good. Today one of my co-workers told me how great I was looking and that she could tell I was feeling better. She said "you look like a different person." She has been so supportive from day one and has considered LAP-BAND® in the past. Now, after seeing my results, she is going for it! She has a consult next week. My spirits are lifted :rolleyes2:

Can they do it at the same time?

95 pounds ! ? is that all you will have taken off pre-band? I would say that would be enough for me to be doing the happy dance ! I'm glad the shakes are working for you. It won't be long now.

Donna, are you doing better today? My last fill made me very tight and has stayed tight since September, but I have always been able to get liquids down. If you can't get the liquids in today you should see if they can squeeze you in for at least a tiny unfill tomorrow because it is an emergency at that point. hope you are doing better soon.

I think this type of pre-op diet is easier than the all liquid ones, at least it was for me. I think I would have gone nuts on all liquids pre-band. It is very effective in shrinking the liver so it can be retracted out of the way during the band surgery and you drop some pounds as a bonus! Don't let yourself go hungry. Remember on this type of diet you can have unlimited amounts of meat. If you stay with lean meats, the weightloss will be more. Good luck with the surgery on Friday! See you on the other side!

yes, I still lost a lot of hair. That doesn't mean everyone will though. I started doing all the things people list here at LBT and used Nioxin shampoo/conditioner, Nioxin vits., When it started coming out I even tried Rogain. For me and the type of hair I have it nothing worked.

$4000 does seem crazy ! I have nothing to compare because I was self-pay with a Doc. that does not accept insurance. I think this is one way he keeps his costs down. He doesn't have to pay people to deal with all the extra paperwork and stuff.

The equations and calculations are just not adding up for me in this past week or so. Don't get me wrong, I still believe the band has been magic for me and I am still thrilled with the weight I have lost so far. I hate counting calories and writing everything down, but after reading other posts about plateaus and the ideas given by other bansters, I wrote down everything that crossed my lips today. I ate 605 calories. This is my typical calorie count. Even if it is more on some days I stay well under 1000 cal. The weight should still be coming off this week.
