Humming Bird

Well, I am for sure too tight. I am having trouble with everything. I have myself freaked out a bit thinking my band has slipped or something. That tight feeling like morning tightness stays all day. I can't eat any food. Yesterday my protein shake was just too thick. I nursed it for a long time and then couldn't finish the last 1/3. Several hours later I tried a pre-bottled yogurt smoothie. I had to just drink a bit and put it back in the cooler for awhile before I took it out and drank a bit more. Everything gives me that feeling of being stuck. I don't know how much dehydration would play a role. I know I have not been drinking enough, so yesterday I tried to drink more. It didn't seem to help. I tried to eat a couple bites of chilli last night and it was not a good feeling just after a few tiny bites. I am getting that stuck burpy feeling just tryng a few sips of coffee right now. I really have to work Today, Weds. & Thurs this week. I'm going to call my Dr. and see if I can get a tiny unfill Friday. I'm really feeling weak and just hope to make it through 3 work days. It's strange I feel like this so long after that last .1cc fill.

I hope everyone is enjoying a long weekend. The weather finally feels like spring to me. We bought a little boat and took it to a lake on Saturday. The wind was blowing a little too much for comfort, but at least I caught my first fish! I couldn't eat it though. I have felt really tight the past couple days (too tight). I'm not sure what's up with that, but have not been able to eat much in the solid form. The plus side is that I dropped a couple pounds. If it stays this tight I may have to get that tiny .1cc removed. I'll ride it out for a bit to see how it goes. We are going to go to another little lake today. I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

For me it would have been the pasta in the Lean Cuisine. After I reached very good restriction with my 2nd fill pasta is one of those things I just can not eat.

I am 5'7" and my goal weight is 150. Anything lower than that will be gravy or frosting on the cake!

Lee Anne, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I went through it with my mom 4 1/2 years ago and It changed my world. My thoughts are with you and yours. I gained a great deal of weight during that time ..... it's so rough.

My surgeon would not have allowed me to do it that way. There had to be someone there at the hospital with me (family member) to state they would do all the driving and that they would stay with me at all times during the first 24 hours after surgery. I did stay at a hotel that first night, but not alone. oh, I see, you will be at the hosp. for the first night. I think that drive home will still suck if it's very long. Good luck with the surgery.

I live just outside a small mountain town. We finished building our house in 2006 and I am really loving the life here in the Colorado Rockies. The house ended up a bit too big for me to keep up with the cleaning, but I try. I live at 8,500 ft. We joke around about only having 3 seasons ......winter, summer & fall. We get quite a bit of snow in the spring, so it seems like spring doesn't happen. The area is considered a "bedroom community." Most people here live/sleep here, but drive to nearby towns/cities for work. We have quite a bit of wildlife in the area.....Deer, Elk, big horn sheep, bears, mountain lions, fox, .... Since being banded I have gotten rid of : - Acid reflux (due to hiatal hernia) - Daily prilosec OTC - Very bad self esteem - stress incontenence - 2 really big boobs :smile2:

Oh Anne, that just sucks! Why didn't they repair the hiatal hernia while they were in there? Can't they do the hernia repair, let it heal and then do the band? Hmmm...... If it were me, I would toss the idea of by-pass around. Bob, I was at my sweet spot for a very long time after fill #2. (I was a tad bit tighter than sweet for a long time really)

PB, slime, pain and vomit........ what a crude way to learn our lessons. A few episodes and we do learn though. Of course I need a little reminder every now and then.

Dottie, I don't get much exercise either. My exercise is usually house work (I have a too big house) & bowling every now and then. Now that the weather is finally warmer I will be getting outside more often. Yesterday we went to Breckinridge CO (ski town) and did a lot of walking. Then we went to a big mall and walked the entire thing. I thought I would have dropped at least a pound, but when I stepped on the scale this morning I was up 2. Oh well, that's how it goes for me the last few months ...... down 1, up 2, down 3 up 2......

Ok, I'll admit it. I AM A CLOTHES HOARDER! Maybe I just have too much storage space. The closet and drawer shopping has been great, but geez the clothes ........ This morning I pulled out a tropical print shirt I made myself (black/purple) and there was a pair of black pants on the hanger under the shirt with the tag still on them! I never wore the shirt because I gained weight right after I finished it. They both fit! I am having a hard time wrapping my brain around my size. Yesterday I pulled a shirt out of the closet and spent the time to iron it only to find out it was way too big when I put it on. I am going to have to try everything on because holding it up and using my brain is not working. I think something will fit in a few months and when I try it on it is big on me. Very strange.

Thanks Betsy. I was pissed for a few months, but told myself not to blow up when he finally said something. He really is the best man in the world in my eyes, but geeez dude, tell me I look thinner, tell me I look hot!, tell me I look better...... something! I think I kept my cool well.

Update ! 91 pounds! It took 91 pounds before my husband (together 24 years in June) said something! All these months we have talked about things like what I can or can't eat and stuff like that, but not one word from him about how I look or my size ...... nothing about noticing the weightloss. Last night he said, "Are you going to dwindle away to nothing? One of these nights I'm going to roll over and put my arm around you and Poof! you'll be gone." Awww, aren't those just the sweetest words you've ever heard.....lol. I said, "I wasn't sure you really noticed because you never say anything." He said, "Oh, I notice."

It sounds like everyone's situations are working out well ! It's so hard to keep the stress level down when things happen that we feel no control over for awhile. I have an SV! I have lost 90 ! That last .1 fill has helped. It is strange how just a little drop can make a difference.

Leigha, I hope your situation works out for the best. Life is just so full of stress sometimes. I too am dealing with a stressful situation right now that I have no control over. These are the times when I used to pack on weight. The loss of sleep ..... then the being tired from it all ....... then eating for energy. Katie, when I started soft foods yogurt and cream of wheat really helped me. Just go slow and things will be fine.

My 2nd fill was really "the one". These last 2 tiny fills have just been "maintence fills" to tweek things a bit. I played it safe today with yogurt and stuff, so I'm not sure if it did the trick yet. I am so close to 90 & 100 lbs lost I can taste it! Shadst8, I had a little giggle at your expence......sorry.......tee hee. "Mark" is really Bob. People were calling him by other names like Brian, Mike, & Mark. We all had a good laugh about it for awhile. I'm not sure about the shake vs. solid for breakfast. Most of the time I drink a shake for breakfast just because I can't handle solids early in the day.
