I don't count calories, but do try to avoid high cal foods. If I look back at what I normally eat in a day, I stay well below 1000 calories. My band is pretty tight, so I stay full with 3 "meals" a day.

I agree with this. The puffed wheat is what expands and that is how they make you feel full. I know it's a drag to throw things away, but I find myself doing it all the time. Maybe give them to a friend or co-worker.

I agree with ym. I'm sure you will stay on top of it. I know it is hard to ask others for help, but you may need to start looking for another ride .... just in case.

Yes, this sounds normal to me. It will get much better as you heal.

The Centrum chewables don't taste too bad. I also get some sublingual biotin from bariactric choice .... not bad at all.

Did you swallow a vitamin whole? Maybe it is stuck in your stoma? I was told to never swallow any pill whole. The surgeon told me there are no pills small enough to take whole. I always use chewable or sublingual or use a pill crusher.

I sometimes feel a little shorter when sitting, but my legs feel longer since my thighs have trimmed down. When I stand or walk I feel taller .... I feel a "lanky" kind of thing. (I'm 5'7")

I am also very tight in the morning. I have a cup of coffee while I get ready for work and drink a Protein shake on the way to work. This gets me through to lunch with no problem.

My required pre-op diet was 2 weeks of Atkins. It was explained to me that too many carbs cause the liver to be thick and then the liver is too hard to retract during lapband surgery. A thick liver is not the same as a "fatty Liver."

Been there, done that, but I consider it throwing up slime. If it is in your pouch/stomach and then there is projectile action, that is throwing up in my book.

Could they have missed your port on your 2nd fill ? Then the fluid would have never been in the band at all.....

It depends on many things. Will you use insurance? Different Dr.s have different requirements. In my case, I was self pay. I had a consult with the surgeon and had surgery 2 weeks later. That's all I had to do.

I'm not sure where you got that info, but you are misinformed. Deep pockets do bleed .............it is gum disease. Poor nutrition can cause bleeding gums. If a dentist told me what you just said, I would find a new dentist.

Oh Man, I think I'm suffering from some sort of bodliy function overload! I'm not even sure what to call it, but I think I may be damaged by it all in some way! In the last several days on LBT I've read about blockages, fat, farting, burping, acid reflux, PBing, vomiting, abortions, anal sex, gas, how many times you pee, constipation, diarhea, slime, foam, nausea, people with both a penis and a vagina, to shave or not to shave your vagina or balls, draining tubes after PS, extreme sweating, rashes, wounds that won't heal, chewing food to liquid mush, a womans cycle, visits from aunt Flo, ........... the list goes on and on .... Then I work hard all day dealing with other people's body odor, blood, pus, spit, slobber, necrotic tissue, gum disease, plaque, tooth decay, gagging, cold sores on people's lips (herpes) ........... Then I come here and hear more ............ejaculation, "little swimmers" in someones eyes and nose, swallowing loads of sperm, jizz ......... Help Me please !!!!!! I think I need to go puke! Blow chunks! vomit! hurl!

The hiatal hernia repair will be part of your lapband surgery. They can not place the band and leave a hiatal hernia. I was self pay and there was no additional charge to repair my hiatal hernia. I would assume yours would be the same.

I was required to do Atkins diet for 2 weeks. I ate tons of meat and a few vegies. I lost 8 or 9 lbs. I did not get dizzy. I felt great. I do not take any Rx meds then or now.

If a bystander has called 911 and attempts CPR to save your life, they wouldn't even see a bracelet that looks like any other jewelry would they? Your stomach is so much lower and to the left of the airway, heart and lungs. They would have to be doing ineffective CPR to do damage wouldn't they? That would really have to be something strange they use to intubate to damage the stomach wouldn't it ?
