Did Adam and Eve have Bellybuttons?

Yes you are!:sneaky: I am very new to this sight and am newly banded, 7/10/09. I knew I needed God to help me even with this band. I am doing o.k. and have tried to stick the diet, but I'm sure you know( or maybe it's just me) that I always have to go over the limit, even if it's just a little. I have not had any fills yet, but I do have a little restriction, thank God! I would appreciate if we kept in touch, being that you're a christian and all. I am believing that God would break all those ties and roots and strongholds to food. THANKS AGAIN, GISELLE:thumbup:
  3. Hi Ericka, I've been banded for almost 1 month. I know myself, so I know I need a mentor. I already decided this is not a journey that I can go on with out God's help, tool or no tool. My son had his three days ago and is now in the hospital with complications. I know there are a lot more people that need a mentor than people who want to be a mentor. So if there is room for just one more I would appreciate it.
  4. I'm feeling very full without a fill. Is that a sign of something being wrong? I'm 3 weeks out. It's kind of hard to get the fluids and protiens. I had a soft smashed potatoe, which is allowed and have been full all day. Is that normal?
  5. Thanks, It does help. I was kind of worried because I was reading a dietary chart about bariatric surgery and it said I should only eat 2 tbl of food at a time, like pudding, but when I eat pudding i eat all of it. I don't recall my dr. telling me 2 tbl. I was wondering if I had stretched my pouch. Thanks for the reply, it comforts me some. Also, all 275 lbs of me is my belly! Thank you.
  6. That's great! especially for only a month in a half! Keep up the good work.

  7. It has been 8 days since my surgery and I have already cheated on what I am suppose to eat. 2 days ago I was still on just full liquids and I ate some veggies in my soup. Today i had a little piece of chicken with my gumbo. I feel fine, but wandering if I could have messed something up?
  8. Hi JimD, When was your surgery? Mine was 7/10/09. How are you doing with it? Just wondering from a males aspect. My son surgery date is July 30. He seems as if he'll do fine, but as for me, food is a big temtation, that's why I needed to be banded in the first place.

l cheated in the first week!

Thanks Graytz, I sometimes don't know why I do the things I do. I'm thinking it's out of habit. I have always tasted little bits of this or that. Well this time It's just one little thing that could do damage. I'm new at it, but I already know I will be relying on the grace of God to teach me and help me. A support group is a great idea, Thanks, I needed that! I'm still feeling tight around the bottom of neck but my sister (who is banded for 1year now) said if something was stuck, I wouldn't be able to have had the broth and Water that I had earlier. Do you agree? How long have you been banded?
  10. Became a bandster 7/9/09 and think I might have gotten something stuck. Will I be able to drink water or take small pills if something else was stuck previously? I feel as if something is sitting at the bottom of my throat, but I drank and had my medicine, and nothing came up. Please I need to know what to do if something is stuck. I'm a little dissappointed with myself because if I would not have taken that bite of chicken when i wasn't suppose to, i would be ok. It's kind of like i failed in the first week.
