Hi everyone! I am SOO stuck! I was banded Sept. 4th, 2009. I lost pretty good the first month, but I have basically been stuck since December. I have only lost 27 pounds! I have 6.5 cc in my fill. I chose not to have any more at my last visit and I am regretting it. My sweet tooth is going insane too. I physically feel terrible....I still have about 55 lbs to lose and I am TOTALLY regretting having done this! I figured by now I would be MUCH closer to my goal! Has anyone been through this? Thanks!!

Okay...so Im on my mushies now, which was a little difficult this past weekend as we had to travel out of town, so maybe that is why this happened. Anyhow...yesterday we were in the car driving through the rainstorm in Kansas and my stomach started gurgling. I knew I was going to have to go to the bathroom SOON! I had severe diarrhea, where I literally could not have held it for a minute longer. Is this normal?? Maybe because I ate something I shouldnt have??? I NEVER want to live through those moments again! Thanks! Tonya

Thanks Carrie! It was quite disconcerting being on the turnpike with no where to stop and having that feeling hit! Yikes! Thank God for a quick husband! lol -
Kind of a gross question

Well, yesterday morning I just had some scrambled eggs. I am still supposed to be in the mushy phase. So the problem was over the weekend, traveling, I wasnt always in charge of what I ate (we had to eat out a lot and at people's homes) so I was trying hard to stay with mushy food, but didnt always manage. I just wondered if it was because I ate more solid food than I should have or if this is a common occurrence? -
Banded on the 4th...still in a lot of pain

Hey everyone...I was banded last Friday....was a little unsure that morning whether I should go through with it....and now I am REALLY second guessing myself. I am sooo miserable. I havent been able to get a lot of fluids down. The dr did find a hernia that he repaired as well, so I have 2 incisions but Im just hurting SO bad. I have a lot of pain in my shoulder too...gas? And also, I keep waking up with a horrible headache. the only meds I got is something for nausea, which I took last night and then a nasal spray Stadol...which I dont think really helps with the pain.....just makes me SUPER sleepy. any thoughts?? -

I can't believe it is finally here! Tomorrow is the big day! At 7:00 a.m. I will be getting my band!!! Im a little nervous. Going to do something fun with the kiddos tonight to make up for being a little sore the next few days. I think the saddest part will be in not picking up my 3 year old for a while. She is really big and I know I cant do that...but I will miss it! Guess she will just have to have a lot of lap time! Any great suggestions out there?? Im also enjoying my last diet coke for a long while.....mmmm. LOL

My surgery is scheduled for the 13th, though I dont have a time yet! I start the liquid diet Monday, August 10th. I am a little concerned as I found out that I won't be able to take any anti-inflammatories afterwards...I have arthritis and take those daily. Anyone else run in to this? -
I am looking into getting the lap band surgery. One of the questions that I forgot to ask at the seminar is this...I was just recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis. I am only 39 years old and my dr blames it on my weight. Has anyone that has had this surgery seen any improvement in their arthritis post surgery? That is really my only health problem (other than being overweight) and as I have a 3 year old, feeling better would be SO wonderful! Thanks in Advance! Tonya
