So my surgery was 7/16 and ever since I have a unbearable sharp pain on my left side under my ribs when I try and take a deep breath. Well since it hurts so bad Im stuck taking short lil breaths. Is this normal or has anyone else experienced this? Its ONLY when I try and take a deep breath.

I was banded July 09 and have lost 140lbs from 288 down to 150 . Last week I found out my band slipped and was totally unfilled. I am now going to have surgery to have it re positioned . Has anyone had this surgery and if so can you give me info please?

So far I have lost 100lbs (from 283 to 183) in 11mos and have not had a period in the last 2 months. Is this normal? :thumbup:

ok so I was banded July 16th and I have lost 70lbs and have had 5 fills...Im at 13cc's in a 14cc band...I threw up yesterday and since then I have been in excrutiating pain...In my chest it feels like a knife is stabbing me behind my breast bone...Do I wait it out or what should I do?

OK all....so I went to the Dr and they told me that I had a small tear in my esophogus and took out 5ccs...I had 13ccs in my 14cc band...I felt IMMEDIATE relief! I go back next week to get my 5 ccs back...they wanted my esophogus to heal and for food to easily move down! Thank you for your help and advice!

Hello all...Dr Metz did my surgery on July 16th 2009 and I have lost right at 70lbs...He was awesome, repaired a hiatel hernia too...Dr. Metz will not be back to COlorado Bariatric...he is traveling all over and did not renew his contract. I was there last week and was told that my "new Dr" is Dr. Brown...wasn't thrilled since I have never even met him, however Allison and Dawn the 2 PA's totally rock...They have always done my fills and answered any questions I have had...I think it sucks that Mets never even notified his patients...

I was banded July 17th and I have a 14cc band. I have had 3 fills and Im at 10.5ccs and Im currently feeling restriction. I have lost 56lbs so far! I dont know why my Dr chose that size band but I gotta believe that he knows what he's doing and as long as Im losing weight then Im cool, LOL...

What can I have that will fill me up...the hunger pains are not comfortable :thumbup:...Any suggestions out there? I have been on liquids for 2 weeks and I am totally miserable!

So I was banded 2 days ago and it kinda hurts ...Im thinking that what hurts the most is the Haital hernia my Dr repaired...Ive lost 13 lbs since Monday (6 days) :smile: , so Im pleased with that. I have NO appetite at all... Any tips or knowledge you can toss my way?

So I am on day 3 of the liquid diet...I have lost 5 pounds or so, YAY :wub:! Im getting nervous about my surgery tomorrow...Any tips I need to know?

Hi there...thank you all for your well wishes...Im really nervous about the pain...:thumbdown:Ugghhh! But I am totally stoked about my new journey :wub:! I dont know how I have lost 5 pounds in 3 days, Im guessing it is all water weight...
