Grammy Annie

Hi everyone, I have been heavy since puberty, some 31 years ago. I have tried many, many diet plans only to lose and then to gain back what I lost and then some. It is great when you are losing and everyone is "wow, you look great"! And then once you get the weight off and the compliments stop coming something happens to the motivation. It is like something in your mind clicks off the motivation button. If there was just a majic pill that you could take that would keep the motivation going, but unfortunately there isn't. I think of the lapband as that motivation pill. A reminder of what you are really wanting and working towards. I am going to my 1st lapband session tonight and I'm hoping that I qualify for the surgery. I am going to be a 1st time grandma this year and I want to be able to play with my grandkids on the floor and not need a forklift to get me up. I want to be able to go on rides with them at amusement parks and actully fit in the ride. My husband has NEVER said anything about my weight and tells me that I'm beautiful and sexy, but I want to be able to believe him and truly feel that way. I know that with God's help, the lapband, and working hard on my part that I can be successful! I weigh 255 lbs. and am 5'5" tall, with back pain, joint pain, asthma, low energy, & trouble sleeping. I'm really hoping that this will be the beginning of the rest of my life as a healthy woman with a lot left to give back to life!
