I have been overweight since the birth of my son in 1993. I use to be very active in sports and played college basketball. I have been steadliy putting on weight for the past 6 years and weigh more now than I ever did at 9 months of pregnancy! I have considered the lap band for years and finally I am excited to have it done. My background is medical as I am a nurse practitioner. My surgery date is set for May 18, 2010.
