@SleeveinIL I'm sorry you are have a down day but I can promise you each day that goes by your body starts to feel better. My stomach was swollen for 8 days I'm still a little sore but no where near I was last week. My first BM came once I drunk a protein shake. Be sure to walk frequently, it helps with the soreness and gas. Happy healing!!! -

I'm getting approximately 40 grams of protein in per day. I'm trying to work my way up to 60 by next week but it's not easy. Glad to hear your hiccups are better. The swollen in my belly had gone down yesterday finally but I noticed it started to swell as the day goes by... -
Congratulations, my advice would be to start walking as soon as you can. It helps with the healing process and get rid of the gas you will experience. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. Cheers

I will try protein shakes this weekend and based on what you went through I will be sure to sip slow. i currently still have a lot of gas on my stomach and super swollen. I'm hoping it goes down before I go back to work next week.

Yea for you Roxine, I can't wait until I get to the point where I'm no longer sore. Also great job on losing 15 pounds thus far, soon that 15 pounds will be multiplied

Congratulations on your pre liquid diet thus far, kudos to you. I second what Roxine said in her response. I just had my surgery on the 9th & I dare not get on the scale yet bc I know I gained water weight and have a lot of gas on my stomach due to the surgery. May you continue to reduce your liver while on the previous liquid diet & have a successful surgery. See you on the loser bench in a week. Cheers!!

Thank you Roxine for the words of encouragement. Yes I plan on doing plenty of walking over the course of the next 7 days so that I can get rid of this gas. As far as weighing myself when i get home tomorrow I want be doing that BC I can tell I will tip the scale due to how swollen I am. I'm going to try my best to wait & weigh myself @ the end of my 2 weeks clear liquid period. Finger crossed😁

Hi Roxine thank you for sharing your journey. Glad to hear you are well on your way to recovery & a better & healthier lifestyle. I had revision bypass on March 9th. The surgery went flawless however my stomach is super swollen due to what I'm hoping is from the gas. It's a bit uncomfortable to say the least. I'm hoping the swollen goes down before I go back to work on the 19th. I fly back home from TijuanaX tomorrow where I will continue to recoup. I'm still on clear liquid diet for the next 2 weeks. I Just ordered me LonoLife Grass Fed Beef & Chicken broth from Amazon. It has 10g of protein & comes in little packets, this will surely help me get my protein in. I will start on protein broth and shakes next week this week I will continue to focus on get my fluid that includes 64 oz of water. I like to add Crystal Light to my water it makes it easier for me to drink.

God is good I'm glad you made it out of surgery safe & now have the knowledge you need to treat your diabetes. I pray you continue to heal with know issues. Happy healing I just had revision bypass surgery on March 9th in Tijuana MX and the surgery was flawless as well. Only discomfort I'm experiencing is a swollen stomach that makes me look like I'm 8 mths pregnant. I know it's due to the surgery but I can't wait until this pass.
