I started out being married and weighing about 110 lbs. I had six children and was lucky with  most of them because I would start losing the weight right after birth and never seemed to have problems losing that weight. When I was to deliver my 6th child we had to do an emergency C section and from that point on I was not as lucky or able to keep weight off. I struggled alot with different diets and I would lose 10 - 30 lbs and then gain it all back and add 5 - 20 more on top of it. I became very unhappy and pretty depressed about the weight. At this time in my life I was about 36 yrs old and heard about this fantastic drug to help you lose weight and decided to try another plan. The new drug treatment everyone was callin Phen Phen. I was so impressed with the weight loss. I lost about 50 lbs and thought to myself I would never let myself get to that weight i was a few months earlier. The next several years I hit my lowest since having my six children at 129. I would gain 10 - 20 here and there but would never let it get past that. I remarried about 5 years ago and had severe problems with my feet and decided to have reconstruction surgery on one and then on the other one at a later time. I proceeded with my foot surgery and was unable to be to active, when we visited with the Ortho Dr. after the surgery he said it looks as if we have over corrected your foot. IT HURT WORSE now than it did before I started. So we again proceeded with another foot surgery to try and correct the "overcorrection". WIthin in these two years of not being able to be active, going to the gym, walking, etc. I gradually became heavier and heavier and when I finally decided to go with Lapband I was about 5 lbs under what my highest weight had ever been. This is post op day4 for me and I cant believe how little of pain I have had. The worst was probably the headaches. I look forward to updating this journey as time progesses on.
