    acid reflux

I had pnemonia caused by reflux again on May 6, again for the second time in six months....... I have been living with having my band so tight because I have been losing lots of weight. I went to the immediate care this time and got the antibotics for the pnemonianand he also gave me a new drug for my Reflux called Zegerid...... this stuff works for me ....I have not had acid reflux since the first one I took........ I tried many others including Prilosec and others but they did not do any good.... This Zegerid works wanders for me. I have lost 100 lbs. since my operation labor day 2004.. It has been a battle but it is worth it. I'll never go back to weighing that much again no matter what. I feel like a new person. Good luck to all, Alan

    how surgery day went

I was banded 9/30/03.....Yes you really need to stay Hydrated.....When I had my Lap-band done I had complication......they couldn't get me to breathe right and I was on a venterlator for two days afterwards and in the hospital 4 days..... Well to make a long story short I got dehytrated and came down with gout in my feet and I couldn't walk ....the pain was way more intense than any surgery pain....... when I went home I crawled from the car to the house.........The give me the wrong medicene for it first in the hospital for 24 hours they didn't know what it was. When my surgeon finally came back in to see me he diagnosed me and said I had gout .... Gout he said a common ailment after surgery. It takes 24 - 48 hours for the medicene to make the pain go away. Gout is worst pain I think a person can have. Good Luck, Alan

*SCARED* I have a stretched pouch...

I have been having bad indegestion for about six months or more and also the last couple of months I have been having reflux at night, specially when I lay on my left side :help: When In was at the Doctor about six months ago he said I didn't need any adjustments and just take tums or whatever for the indegestion. :omg: I had my surgery 9/30/03 and have lost 85 lbs. and still losing. Any help on the indegestion or the reflux would be appreciated Alan.. :hungry:
