So I am starting to get really nervous about this procedure. I am a prior WLS patient. Having a revision from the gastric band, but I had the band removed almost 3 years ago. I am so freaked out I am making poor food choices. I need some support!

I am having trouble starting the pre op diet. I feel so stressed from work that I am emotionally eating. Ugh I cant get myself together. I work full time and attend graduate school. Also do you have dumping syndrome from Vsg? I see some people post about what. I thought that was only with RNY?

Hi guys, So I am a NYC employee with Emblem Health GHI-CBP. I started my 3 month nutrition counseling and will be getting all my pre-op testing done for a tentative surgery Dec. 21st 2017. I was just curious on how much this insurance covered so that I can prepare myself financially. I am planning on VSG. Thanks!

I just purchased tripact protein from GNC in chocolate milkshake flavor. I blend it with unsweetened- vanilla almond/ coconut milk. So good especially with half a banana! I showed it to my nutritionist at the surgeons office and it fits the requirements [emoji846]

I also had the band in 2009 and initially lost 80 lbs. I then had issues with food tolerance and band erosion therefore had the band removed in 2015. I know had gained weight back to where I was before the band. I met with my surgeon about revision and have a nutrition appt tomorrow but I am nervous to do a permanent surgery just like you.

I am about 10 pounds away from my starting weight and I need some motivation and support. I am looking back to bariatric pal to help motivate me again.

B-52... I agree I am going to call tomorrow and get in to see doctor and nutritionist for a refresher. Thanks everyone...I also realized how important it is to have support from others who had WLS.

I am very frustrated with myself. I was banded oct 2009 and was down from 280lbs to 197 lbs in a year and 1/2. Weight crept back on due to personal and physical separate issues. I was back at 263 lbs last summer.... I've been trying to get back on track and am down to ~230lb. I am doing really well with exercise but my eating habits are not the best lately. I am hungry often and can eat more than I should be able to:( I'm getting upset and want to figure something out bc I am getting married July 2015!could my pouch have stretched and I should go on liquids for a week? I need some motivation and kick start again to get me 100% back on my game. It's almost as if I forgot how to eat the way I did when I was first banded:(

Thanks! My band is empty bc i was ill for abt 8 months and they wanted to do a endoscopy and swallow study. Im gunna go back for a fill. I just know i need to retrain my thinking and it is a tool ive used it before so ive started again
