    Yeah.. I ate Doritos

The overcooked veggies with parm sounds good. I love turkey meat already so glad to know it is something I can try. Thanks for sharing.

    Yeah.. I ate Doritos

All of that sounds delish and is actually many of the things I love already. I was doing lots of turkey meat prior to surgery. I like the sound of that canolli....thanks for sharing. I will definitely give you some feedback.

    I'm new to the Forum

The port is under the skin...you dont see it at all. It is small and round. Mine is on left side right above my breast line. Not bad at all.

Hi and thanks for the response. I have cried and feel better afterwards, but I haved vowed each time I feel emotional to get up and walk from now on. I can kill two birds with one stone...cry and get some exercise at the same time...LOL. This is your 3rd week post op? How is the mushy diet going?

    10/26/2010 My Band Birthday

Thanks for responding. I don't feel so alone now. My husband told me the same things you are saying. He has been more of a blessing to me this week than he will ever know. This week has been better so far. Pain has subsided. I had to have a hernia repair at the same time. shakes and nausea are better as well. Again, thanks for responding. Well, let's keep in touch as we go through this journey:thumbup:.
  12. Hello, I was banded one week ago today. It has been a difficult recovery. Major discomfort, nausea and many tears...but I am looking forward to brighter days. 6 lbs lost...that is something to smile about...a lb a day so far. Can someone help me with the emotional stuff? I did not think I would be so emotional after surgery.
  13. Hello, I was searching for a site to talk to someone concerning their lap-band experience. I see that you have just had surgery. I am still working on insurance. I have been denied by UHC. I saw that you have referred friends, if you don't mind sharing the name of your insurance and tell me about the approval process you went through. I have been diagnosed with diabetes and high blood pressure. I am desparate to lose this weight. Any advice on insurance approval would be great or I am going to figure out a way to self pay. Thanks alot Pinkgirl13
