I think that everyone loses weight differently, however, I have heard that if you aren't losing weight to change it up a little bit, workout differently or change how many calories you are eating in a day. Changing it up might stimulate your body a little bit more. For me, I either walk, do a workout video at home, or work out at school about 5 times a week. Not everyday but I try to as much as possible. Plus I really like it now, with my MP3 player and my new tennis shoes help me get motivated, plus seeing the weight come off and the scale go down is always motivation!!! Also, it is important to remember that we all lose at different rates so keep that in mind!!! But you are all doing great, and keep up the hard work!!! It will all be worth it!!! We can do it!!
  3. How exciting!!!!! That is an amazing feet!! I think we were banded around the same time, for me July 10th!! And I am right there with ya, I am at about 52lbs and loving it!!! I am so excited to keep on going down as I am sure you are!!! Best of luck!!!

    Anxiety over 2nd fill

    I just got my second fill yesterday and so far so good, but I am on liquids today yet and mushies the next 2 days then regular food after that. But, no problems at all, and so far so good, we will see what will come in the following days as far as restriction and hunger are concerned. I've heard some people start to feel it after their second fill and some not, we are all different. Just looking forward and seeing what is to come

    I definately agree, it is up to your doctor, and you should definately follow what your doctor says you should do

    July 2009 Dates

    Just wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing that got banded in July!!! I am doing great and loving my band, anyone else feel the same? Just wanted to open up some communication, see how everyone is? Hope all is well!!!

    I hate my scale! It lies!

    Well, it could be dependant on when you weigh yourself, i think that its best to weigh yourself in the morning right when you get up right after you use the bathroom. That is when you get the best reading!! I think so anyways, hopefully this might help!

    Fill Diet

    My doctor says after every fill, to go on liquids for 2 days then mushies for 2 days, then back to regular foods, reintroducing them all over again because with each fill you may or may not be able to eat the same foods as you did before

    1 size down

    I have lost about 46lbs, and I have only gone down one size in pants, havent tried on smaller shirt yet, however I have been noticing that my bras fit better, so maybe i was wearing the wrong size all along....interesting, but LOVING IT!!! And looking forward to dropping quite a bit more!!!

    Do you chart?

    That is my goal too, that by tracking my food now it will just be second nature later on in life. I truly am as well, re-educating myself on eating healthy. If nothing else, counting my calories. It was important for me because i am forced to see how much i am really eating. Because I know before surgery, I definately was not aware of how much i was eating. So this was definately eye opening and very helpful for me. But i probably wont do it forever

    Do you chart?

    i have been recording my food for almost 2 months now, it makes me feel accountable and also when it was right after surgery it helped me keep track of my protein, to make sure i got in enough, and still today it helps me with that!!!
  13. I agree, weighing yourself right when you get up after using the bathroom has always been the best and most accurate for me!!! As long as you are consistent in when you weigh, I think you should be good. Or you and I would be driving ourselves crazy!!! Good Luck!!!
  14. it will happen before you know it!!! Clearance was much easier than i thought it was gonna be!!! But so far i have lost 45lbs. Which includes the weight that i lost in my preop diet which was a 2 week liquid diet right before my surgery to defat my liver. I hope you get a surgery date soon!!!

    Grocery list!

    I am definately one who likes to keep things changing!! I don't like to eat dull or boring food either!! However, some ideas might be fat free refried beans, i eat those with either meat or cheese and salsa. String cheese is a good one. I like to keep canned green beans in the house to get some veggies in! I like to make meatloaf and I make a lot of chicken. Chili is also a good one to make and easy to reheat and eat for a few more days! Oh and salads!! I use turkey lunch meat on my salads for protein and put some veggies on there, cheese and light dressing, the possibilities are endless!! I hope that I have helped!!

    I am from wyoming, Michigan just outside of grand rapids, and i was banded on july 10th and so pleased so far!! and excited for what is to come!

    Puree Food ideas?

    My favorite on mushies was fat free refried beans, with a lil cheese and taco sauce (not salsa) on top, warmed up!!! YUMMY!!! It was the best!!

    questions questions

    I am no expert, but I just wanted to give some suggestions, your headaches and fatigue could be from lack of eating, or not eating enough, remember protein is huge especially in the healing process!!! Make sure you get like 70g of protein a day!! Try new things, different foods, maybe your body is trying to tell you need something that you are not getting! Just a thought!! I hope this helps!!
  23. I definately think the key is finding something that works for you and that you LIKE!!! So that you will stick with it!!
  24. Really anything you do just to get moving will be beneficial. But just to give you other options and tell you what I do. I just get out and walk at least 30min and i try to do it everyday, or if i don't I try to do a workout video here at home. The biggest loser workout video kicks my butt!! lol But it works!!! I hope you find something that works for you and you like it!! I didn't think I would like walking, because I think I tend to get bored, but then my boyfriend bought me an MP3 player to put songs on and wear while walking and I LOVED IT!!! Made all the difference!! Best of luck to you!!
  25. Also, I just wanted to add, my Dr. told me that as you get tighter with each fill for some of us it might be harder to eat in the morning, because you may be more swollen in the morning. But I have heard that hot tea works. But if you are still worried, you will feel much better if you call your dr!!
