  1. Movie was fantastic. I did cry a bit though, but it was such a great movie. Highly recommend for a girls day/night. Good work going out and doing the Christmas Shopping :)

I don't have to do a lot, so mine can wait.

Went and seen the doc today, he said i'm doing great and the incisions are healing nicely. I'm still going to take the whole 2 weeks off because I saved my annual leave for it. Plus I have some paperwork for a course I'm finishing up which I want to get done next week.

Getting nails done sounds like a great idea, I might even do the same, feels like a decade since I've had mine done! LOL

  2. Hey,

Just a quick check in to see how you're doing? From the posts it seems that you are going well.

I'm doing great, still have a little shoulder pain and stomach pain, but not too bad. I left taking the pain killers a little too long yesterday, won't be doing that again! LOL.

Up and about more now and visiting people. Going to watch My Sisters Keeper today. Better have a box of tissues by my side I think.

Hope you are doing well and chat soon :)

  3. Glad to hear it all went well! Yes, i'm in a little pain too, but it's not unbearable. Especially after i take the tablets.

Felt some hunger today, i've been feeling a little yucky too. It's nice to have the hunger pains, sign of improvement I reckon. Hope you are well!

  4. Hey Rachel,

Hope you are doing well and congrats on the band!!!

I'm going well, have a little pain and some gas, but not too bad.

Look forward to hearing from you.

  5. Thanks heaps suzy! How are you travelling?

I'm good, have some pain- just feels like brusing inside, the painkillers are doing their job! lol.

Have slight gas pains, but the walking helps.

Been sleeping a lot, it's been wonderful.

Having some big hungers pains today, but the soups and stuff have been helping.

  6. GOOD LUCK!! thinking of you.

Mine went great. Not in too much pain, etc.

Have to go and sleep... tired. You may even be getting done now.

    December Delights 2009

Hello Everyone, I'm officially banded :wink2::biggrin::biggrin: I have a bit of bruising pain in the stomach area and some gas pain but all in all it is very bearable and i'm happy with the outcome. Probably the thing that is annoying me most is the dry, sometimes sore throat. Drinking is helping with that however. The surgeon said my procedure could not have gone any more perfect which was lovely to hear. Thinking of all you pre-bandsters getting ready. I'm normally a bit of a sook, and i'm ok, so i'm positive everyone else will be. Won't be on here for a couple of days, staying at my mum's who will be looking after me as my fiance is playing sport. Will post a.s.a.p. to let you know how it's going. :wink2:
  8. Yes, time zones. I'll definately be thinking of you on Saturday and sending very happy vibes :)

By this time tomorrow I will be in recovery. The nurse told me this morning I will be done by lunch time. So excited!!! Eeeep!!!

T-Bird, I know exactly how you feel. I'm soooo nervous. I can't wait to wake up and see it's all done though :tongue2::biggrin: Just having my last Breakfast Optifast shake. Now that excites me!!! Terri, so glad to hear all went well. Sounds like you've started off to a speedy recovery, I hope that continues.

    Groggy

Fantastic news! Hope all is going well and look forward to hearing your progress. 2 more sleeps for me!!!
  13. Yes, I'm healthy. I'm so ready for this. The nerves haven't totally kicked in. I think maybe I've educated myself enough not to be nervous, or... I'm so sick of the liquid diet I know each day is working towards not HAVING to do it anymore. I know that is still a little ways off, but I'm still super happy :)

Can't sleep? Sounds like you're a teeny weeny bit nervous. I reckon my worst day for nerves will be Thursday. I'm so excited for all of us. Long time coming.

I'm enjoying one of my last shakes now. Chocolate, it's the only flavour that doesn't make me feel like I wanna vomit now! lol

As long as you try and keep positive thoughts happening, it makes it much easier. It also helped me to imagine waking up without the band being placed if i cheated. I only have 2 and a half more days of liquid diet! Good Luck
  15. found you by accident, saw elcee was from ballarat and got excited, then realised i'd stumbled on you! hahaha

  16. Hi Elcee,

I too come from Warrnambool and think it's great to find someone on here close by. You're nearly to goal, that's great. Look forward to hearing from you.

  17. Hi Razor,

Thanks for the message. So excited, how are you?

Do you have a liquid diet? I'm suffering a little, but getting through it. Good luck with surgery and we'll let each other know how it all goes :)

  18. Great to hear all went well :)

No worries for helping, i get banded next Friday - you may come in handy by then! lol

    Happy Thanksgiving

    December 2009 Bandsters

Hey guys, I quoted you all to grab you're attention. This thread isn't exactly running anymore. There is another thread entitled 'December Bandsters 2009' created by Illuminationlady. People still post quite a bit there. Thankfully, Illuminationlady has already created a group for all us 2009 December losing machines. Probably the easiest way for you to find this is to click my name, go to my public profile. Once you are in my profile, scroll down so on the right hand side you can see the groups I have joined. If you click on the December Bandsters 2009 square with the tree on it, it will take you to the page so you can join with the rest of us, YAY! Sorry if you have already done this and i'm giving you TMI!
  21. Good luck! I know you will be fine... I'm looking forward to hear your progress :)

    getting cold feet

Ok Honey, I'm sure we all go through this at some stage. What is even less helpful for you is that you don't have any support outside this site to talk to. What you said is right, you need to take DEEP breaths and CALM down. While doing this, think of how you have lived life to this moment. Think of all the times you have hurt not only on the outside but on the inside because of your weight. Once you have done this, think of all the reasons YOU came upon the DECISION to have the surgery. Imagine yourself at goal weight. It is a hard road we travel, but the rewards in the end will be worth it. Think of the extra years you will live. Think of the extra time you will spend with your family/friends. Think of the wonderful way you will feel being able to go into 'that' clothes shop. Think about the self love and respect you will gain and how much happier this will make you. In the end, it's not our decision it is yours. But we all got to this point for a reason and if we could have done it by ourselves and maintained it, we would have. HUGS:wub:

I'm on the optifast illuminationlady. The flavours I have available are: Chocolate (Yum), Strawberry (Ok), Vanilla (Ok), Coffee (Horrible, I actually felt like vomiting), Chicken Soup (YUM!) and Hearty Veg Soup (Ok). Hope this helps! Great job on the non-smoking

    December Bandsters 2009

Sure do! The lady at the surgery told me that when it all began they made patients do 6 week liquid diet, but since have found people can only handle 3 weeks. Thank god, 6 weeks of Optifast shakes would kill me. The chocolate tastes not too bad. I'm really looking forward to my bowl of vegies tonight.
