I too work for Citigroup but in Irving, TX and have BCBS Empire. I was approved within 3 months from my 1st seminar to approval but I had my PCP and Gastro write letters explaining the need for me to be banded. It has been the best thing I have ever done. I am now no longer a type 2.

hi there. the insuranced approval is pretty much a piece a cake or was for me....basically as long as you have a doc office who does a good job of summarizing your monthly charts when u do your monthly visits..basically stating and convincing that you are moving in the right direction towards a healthier lifestyle...if you have all those things notated in an orderly fashion you will be approved....i was approved in less than 24 hours..so u will be fine just make sure ur doc office who will be coordinating ur monthly supervised visits does a good job with record keeping for the sake of your approval....common sense will tell them to be good at it so they can get paid in the long run!

Hey...I'm new to the site and I've been reading some of your post. I'm hoping to get insurance approval and get banded this year. I noticed that we have some things in common. I also have Aetna POS II and work for Citigroup. I would like to know what steps you took to get approved. Good luck on your journey and keep us posted on your progress!
