KC, I never heard...what is the lush slush for the weekend? My pre-op starts Sat. morning. I NEED to know so I can stock up . Vodka, white rum, anything clear will work for me. TPG

Okay, yes, that was dumb. You probably should tell your doctor just to be sure you did no damage. Although you may not know the harm (or lack of) until you're down the road a bit further :biggrin:. At least you're not posting this bragging or encouraging others to do something risky. You can't un-ring a bell, so move on! You are not a horrible, evil person . Get back on track. I'm sitting here on the eve of my pre-op and trying to think what else I want to eat. I'm not hungry. But I still think, hmmm, what else should I get in before bed? Probably just a SF Fudgesicle. Oh well. I do have a b'day party on Sun. That cake better not start talking to me! I'll probably have nightmares about it :biggrin:. But, I want a new life...so no cake, no chocolate fountain, no wine....crap! Is white wine a clear liquid? Take care everyone! TPG

Jennifer, your friend is an idiot. There's just no other way to put it. I agree with telling her to check out the stories on here. And definitely her doc should know what she's done. I really think that there are some people who are NOT ready for bariatric surgery. Did she have a psych eval :cursing:? Does she think the band is magic? Further, she shouldn't be feeding her kids fast food. Or maybe she thinks the band comes in a junior size...perfect for that obese 4 yr. old. She also shouldn't be driving that soon after surgery. This is a bit snarky I'll admit. But you know that she got the same information beforehand that you rec'd. Why even bother to be banded? She knew the ins and outs of it before she signed the consent. And if she had any other questions, she could have talked to you - her friend (who is a nurse and banded)... This makes me really sad . If you maintain your friendship with her, I hope you can encourage her to get the help she desperately needs. And, Jennifer, I'm sorry for you too. She really disappointed you and that sucks. TPG

Okay, I will help you just this once. You should be doing push ups as soon as you get home from the hospital. Follow that with some weight lifting. Maybe 15 pounds on each side. If you feel any pain - ignore it! It's just the muscles attacking your band. Nothing to worry about!
