I am 32 years old and finally taking control of my own dstiny. I began gaining weight as a teenager and have been on a constant upward gain since then. My lap band journey began on 2/09 when I first sent in my paperwork to get approved and now months later, my surgery is scheduled for 7/20/09. I am nervous, anxious and nauseous all at the same time but in my heart I know I am doing the right thing. I look forward to living.
