Thank you for the response. It took me about a year to get my surgery. I had to deal with the insurance company and I had to lose lbs before I could get my surgery scheduled. I was not really into workout at first but once I started to I am really getting into it. I tried out a few gyms before I decided on which one I want to join. Some of the gyms around me are kinda stuck up and that is not for me I wanted to find a place where everybody said Hi and the staff was friendly and helpful. I now have a personal trainer that I see 3 times a week. You should try checking out different gyms keep up the good work and keep in touch.

Welcome to the Kaiser Richmond group! We don't have anyone who is going through the Fremont program, but you can keep us up to date on all things Fremont! I know the Fremont orientation is pretty RNY oriented, but if you know you want the band stand your ground and don't let your doctor force you into gastric bypass. Stick with the program and you'll do great! Feel free to join us on the pre-op board too!

Do not be scared to lose the lbs. just try walking for 20 to 30 min a day to start working out. I got my surgery date as soon as I lost my weight. The doctor ask me when do I want to do the surgery. I said as soon as possible and that is when he gave me the date. I know you can do it. You just have to set your mind to it. good luck you can contact me anytime. if need some one to listen to your problem you may have or if you have any questions.
