My prayers are with you all! Good luck... Ever thought that your body is rejecting the port (just will not allow it in your body?) My body wont let me pierce my belly button, would keep pushing the ring out, similar in theory. Wonder if your body just wont tolerate the foriegn matter inside you! Good luck to all

Sorry about your cat... Bummer. Good plan with the food log. And remember...if you never feel the sadness you could not recognize the joy... Happy trails to you. Enjoy your journey

Are you Seeing your doctor regularly- like at least every 6-8 weeks? Are you working out at all? Is your band filled? Do you feel restricted? If you're cheating the band by eating soft foods and high calorie foods and sweets...You may just BEAT the band, and continue gaining weight.. Its a choice your making.. You have gone through too much and lost alot of weight to let it be for not! Make a tiny change right away for the better. Something do able... Like keeping a food log, and counting your calories, or commiting to some type of excercise.. You know you will feel better! Good luck! You can do this!

My doctor put me on clear liquids for 2 weeks prior to surgery date. One very good reason is this. The clear liquids help to prep your liver for the surgery, the clear liquid makes your liver feel more solid to the touch and easier to move if they need to to access your stomach etc.. If it is not prepped, your liver could shred with the touch of a finger of your surgeon and then they will have to spend more time on the table operating on your damaged liver. I guess fat, and solid foods make the liver feel really soft and if touched during surgery it falls apart/damages. That is THE best reason my Doctor told me to keep to the liquids prior to surgery.. Also you lose a bunch of weight and that also makes surgery a little easier. It also shows you are dedicated to your success. So good luck!
