Hi everyone! Just wanted you all to know that I got all of my bloodwork done for my surgery August 12th! I've lost 8 pounds since last Wednesday! I'm really looking forward to seeing a new me!

Just remember the reason that you are drinking those shakes! I just finished the bloodwork, and signed the rest of my paperwork today. My surgery is August 12th, and I am so looking forward to it! Email me if you need to talk! Leah

See if your doctor can let you drink unjury Protein drinks. They are pretty decent, and I would recommend them to you. Good luck, and if you need someone to talk to please feel free to contact me. Leah -

Thanks, I'm trying my best! I'm thinking that I might go out later and walk and shop. I did a lot of walking yesterday, and am trying to do as much as I can. Thanks for the advice. Leah

Josephine, I do drink 4 unjury Protein drinks a day a long with everything else I am allowed to have. My problem comes around the evening even after my Protein Drink. Not sure what I should do. Leah

August 12th for me! I started my two week pre op diet Wednesday. Going well so far but having a lot of food cravings. I'm really excited and looking forward to a better and healthier future! Leah -

I just found out that my surgery date is August 12th:thumbup:! I have to call my doctor to get a physical and schedule my ekg and bloodwork. I am starting my 2 week liquid diet today! -

I just found out that I was approved for my procedure. I go to Dr. Kerlakian's office next Wednesday to meet with the dietician, the nurse, and Dr. Kerlakian. I'm so excited! What all should I expect at this apt? Thanks, Leah

I just finished my nutrition, exercise, and mental health evaluation today. I think I passed with flying colors! I'm hoping it won't take to long for my evaluators at the doctors office to finish their reports! I think that they are still looking at mid August for me if all goes well.:thumbup: Leah

Brenpren, I did not have to go through a pre-op diet before my evaluation. I would definitely call your insurance to see what they require if you are worried about it. I would definitely go talk to the doctor to see what they have to say. It definitely wouldn't hurt.

Hi, my name is Leah. I just completed my nutrition, exercise, and mental health evaluation at Dr. Kerlakian's office. How was the approval process for you all? What was the purpose of the 165 question test for the mental health eval? I'm just curious, because I noticed the test was repetitive. I am really happy with Dr. Kerlakian and am hoping to have the lap band done in August. I live in Lebanon, Ohio. I would love to talk to anyone who is willing to share their stories. Thanks, Leah
