Hi all... Had my second fill yesterday and I am now at 4cc. I'm starving. I almost miss the foamy stuff when I would try to eat something my band couldn't handle because it seems like nothing is off limits anymore. The Albertsons here had my favorite cookie which was discontinued last year due to Archway going bankrupt... they only had the holiday cookies "wedding cake cookies are my favorite" for 2-3 weeks out of the year..Albertsons must have had a stash from last year and put them on the shelves.. their experation date was 12/12/09... I bought 6 packages of them. I had no problem knocking back 4 packages in 4 days. Am I insane? Did I learn any lessons? Yes, I put on 5lbs knocking me back to only 23lbs lost. I need to be stronger than this.. I am still on pudding consistency stuff for a few more days now that I had another fill and I am hoping there is restriction once I go back to solids.

Morning all... had my 1st fill today so back to liquids for 4-5 days..knowing me it will be 4 .. wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I don't feel any different actually which I am not sure is a good thing or not. Hope everyone is doing well Karena

I am going through the same thing and I am miserable!! I'm so ashamed I have avoided posting on the sept bandsters .. My surger was sept 8th and my fill is tomorrow morning. Oh I pray that it helps ..

Morning all ! Good luck to those having surgery today.. All is well here, no issues to speak of. Month end at work is crazy so I don't get many chances to drop a line. My prayers go out to all of you...those having troubles I pray that you heal quickly

Happy Birthday to your son :tongue2: funny enough my middle son turns 11 tomorrow and my youngest turns 2 on the 28th . We are doing their birthdays at chuckys in grapevine next weekend. I should be ok watching everyone eat pizza because their pizza sucks

I have had the foam thing too. It's horrible! You try to clear your throat, or burp and you spend 5 minutes spewing bubbly stuff. gross huh

Doc appt went well. Down 9lbs since surgery 14lbs since last visit with him :thumbdown: first fill is scheduled for the 7th of october. well back to work I go!

Afternoon everyone! Well in about an hour is my 1st post op appt . I'm really excited to see what if any I have lost. So far things are going pretty good but I am getting hungry. I was secretly hoping I could get a fill today but considering Amanda has the same doc as I do and she didn't get one yet my chances are about slim to none. :tongue2:. I won't be disappointed if I haven't lost much yet because I am already starting to feel like a new person. Cutting soda out of my diet and not having tons of nasty carbs has really made a difference. Until later... Tzn

Hi all I hope everyone is doing well :bored: I had to take some time away from the computer to take care of a sick little one. Hopefully everyone is recovering nicely. So far so good here. The only problem is I still can't lay comfortably on my left side because i can feel the foreign objects they put in me when I do. It's weird. Well tomorrow is the post-op checkup and I am interested to see how much I have lost.

Welcome home to those who were banded today My biggest advice to you is, don't play tough.. take your pain meds!! Well 6 days since banded and doing pretty decent. Doc has me out until the 21st but I am going stir crazy. My work is stressful yet rewarding and frankly I miss everyone. Ok ladies and gents what has everyone else been doing to pass the "downtime". Me, I visit my facebook to keep in touch with my out of state family and friends. I have been taking lots of pictures of the kiddos and animals and have considered doing a scrapbook even though I have never been the "scrapbook" type, and I have been watching alot of " cook yourself thin". They have a turkey meatloaf that even me, the person who cooked more like Paula Dean with all the butter, may like. Even my husband said it looked good! IM STILL BORED THOUGH. Thank you Mrsyellis... I am glad you are doing so well! As far as feeling full I just feel like I have to burp but can't. Up until todays slip all it took was a few sips of a shake or soup or a few licks of pudding. It still takes me 2 days to get through 1 shake. About an hour ago I made my hubby finish off the roast and gravy so I wouldn't have an desire to grab some more lol. He had no complaints about doing so either. Funny thing though, he is now addicted to my sugar free puddings and wont keep his hands off of them

Hi everyone! You are all in my thoughts and for those of you who have surgery tomorrow no worries you will do just fine! So, I am now 5 days post op. Couldn't even think about food , had a difficult time even getting down sips of the shake, then today I don't know what happened but I blew it. I had slow cooked a roast overnight for my family and friends to eat during the Cowboys game today and my absolute favorite thing about roast is not the meat or veggies , its dipping slightly buttered bread into the gravy until its drenched. I ate half a slice :thumbdown:. yes it was soggy and liquidy but omg what have I done? How was it possible for me to eat this? Yes, I was stuffed afterwards and no I did not have any issues tummy/band wise with it. I am so upset with myself! It took me 3 years to mentally decide to do this and here I go partaking in one of my previous bad habits. I was doing so well too, I didn't even have cravings for anything prior to this. There are people who are desperately trying to get banded and here I am blessed with the band and I abuse it.

I have had gallbladder surgery and a c-section.. I have the same doc as Amanda yet I got 5 holes to her 1. I also wonder why however I must say the holes are really small . He did a great job! Still not hungry, working on finishing my 2nd shake since the surgery. Had a few spoons of pureed vegetable beef soup, a teaspoon of jello, literally a teaspoon it was too sweet and a tablespoon of pudding. I am still drinking mostly water and I haven't gotten to the store for the Isopure yet but will ask my sis to get me some on her way over here. Gross question - is anyone else experiencing the foamy stuff that comes up when they burp? There is no taste to it but sometimes there is alot of it :thumbup:
