We should definately get together sometime! I live about a block from Dr. Snow's office. I feel ok, I stopped using the suppositories yesterday, no need for them anymore. I agree, total waste of money. I'm still not hungry but I do drink lots of water. Are you having trouble keeping yourself in bed resting? I am, for some reason I have become like my 2 year old, afraid to miss anything lol.

I can hardly stomach anything. It has taken me 2 days to get through one shake. I have creamy soup that I dip a toddler spoon in and have only gotten maybe a tablespoon of that down in 2 days. Pudding, a lick here and there.. soo sweet!! . All I crave is water water water. I probably haven't taken in more than 300 calories in 2 days and thats stretching it. When should I start becoming concerned? I no longer have an upset stomach, that stopped yesterday. I am just not hungry! no worries hun, they gave me enough of them to last me at least 6 months ...oh joy lol. oh and they really do help, so I am not complaining about the price anymore How is your progress coming along?

Hello 10bluetoes! Got the night before crazies yet? My surgery today went as follows.. At hospital at 8am had about 5 or 6 people in and out of my room before the doc got there shortly after 9 once the doc left the wonderful man who gives out the calming coctails came back in and loaded me up, I don't even remember the trip to the OR. They are very kind over at Soutwest Surgical and helped my experience become not so scary after all. I was terrified going in but they made me feel at ease quickly! by 11:30 I was awake, hit the xray machine and was back home by Noon. I live a block away so that helps. I have been sipping water all day, tried a shake, 2 sips and I was done.. for some reason its suddenly too sweet now. Tried chicken broth, tasted too savory, and I even tried a fat free popsicle.. gross even sweeter than the shake. The nausea is horrible but they were nice enough to give a prescription of suppositories that even with insurance cost almost $70 bucks! My sister went to pick my my scripts and had I known it was that much I would have told her forget it. Yes I can be cheap at times. I guess I shouldn't complain though because my out of pocket for the entire surgery was only $277. Oh yeah... tonight I puked , lots of dry heaves and a few tiny drops of water was all the reward I got for the horrifying experience.:thumbup:. Don't get me wrong I would rather not have vomiting issues but dagnabit if you are going to make me feel like crap at least let enough progress happen to where the nausea is gone. Apparantely my dr.. Dr. Snow out of Hurst is also starting to do the single incision procedure however he did not bless me with it.. I got all 5. Bottom line, would I do it again? Heck yes I would

Hi all.. got my band this morning so my fears were mute. I went in at a little after 9am and was back at home by noon. Other than feeling like I got hit by a truck when they woke up up...I don't feel too terribly bad. Food is the furthest thing on my mind which is strange for me considering how much I depended on it previously. I must say the throat pain seems to be worse than the incision pain right now but they warned me about that pre-op. Well today is the day! I woke up very thirsty , constipated and for some reason I really want to barf . I will definately do that list Soco after I get the band today :w00t: My surgery time is set for 9:00 am central time but I have to be a the hospital at 8. Now I have to find something to occupy myself with until then :thumbup: Many blessings to all of you! I know we have several others being banded today ...may our procedures go of without a hitch Tzn

So its the night before my surgery, and at 10pm I need to stop all liquids other than water . Then from 10-midnight water only then nothing. I want to try to fall asleep early tonight however that isn't working, tried the hot bath and reading..nope wide awake. How was the night before surgery for all of you postopers?

Good morning all.. well tomorrow is the big day for me. I am not as nervous as I was before but the whole not being banded due to a thick liver has me worried. I didn't follow the preop to a T. But I did drink alot of slimfast and water. Question.. lubricant spray for the mouth? That is a new one to me...and special brands, locations where it can be purchased? I still have no idea what my current weight is Hope everyone has a successful day today!!

Good morning everyone, it's nice to see everyone so positive about their progress. I was going to complain about my miserable 2nd day of the pre op diet but after seeing how some of you have to do it for 2 weeks I decided to hush up and suck it up!! Surgery is Tuesday and wow these days are really flying by. I don't have a scale here at home so I have no idea what I currently weigh. I am tempted to get one but It may be a bad idea to do so. 4 days to go!!! did anyone else get so nervous this close to surgery that they couldn't stay out of the bathroom?:smile2:

Wow everyone has so much happening today whether its news about their surgery, pre ops or the actual surgery itself. What an exciting day for everyone I had my pre op tests today bloodwork chest xray ekg - my nurse was funny, told me according to her test I could take on any and all exercises on the planet and not worry about keeling over. Tell that to my body after I have hoofed it across a parking lot just to get into the doctors office :frown: Well gotta make some calls to Metlife to make sure I have everything in line for my med leave

Good evening all you September Bandsters!! Well tomorrow morning I get to do my pre-op tests ... bloodwork, chest xray (which I am really scared about because I have been a long time smoker ) and cardiogram. Are they going to make me run on a treadmill with all those wires stuck to me? I was so excited when I spoke with them that I forgot to ask . I start my liquids on the 3rd and up until today I was ok with that phase beginning.. then I realized omg thats like 3 days away... only 2 days of eating tasty things left (I know this isnt true there are alot of tasty healthy things out there i am sure ) and the fear is setting in. I know I need to snap out of it, I have planned and waited for this for 3 years because i wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting into. How did you all get past this??
