Excellent, so there is a good chance of your appeal being approved! Great! Hey, 145 sounds like a dream weight to me! That is my official goal right now (I am 5/4"). I have not been that weight since college. In fact, by the end of college I had inched up to about 155...but still looked pretty good at that weight. Of course I thought I was too fat too. Even when I was able to squeeze into a size 6 in high school I thought I was too fat! And so the cycle of dieting non stop. What a waste.

Anyway, I LOVE the band so far! Did you see that I lost 15 lbs in one week??? 8 lbs from the clear liquid pre-op diet and 7 lbs since surgery (last Tues). I am so excited. Best of all, I am not hungry and have no desire to pig out, whatsoever. I get full after 1/2 cup to maybe 1 cup of food at each meal (doing liquid puree, so mostly soups). This is so worth it! Good luck with your insurance, let me know what happens!

I was 145 in my wedding dress and 5'3". I still thought I was over weight. I look back now and think if only I could be that again, yet I still do want to be back to 125...we'll see if I can even get there. I have now grown with each baby and am now almost 5'5" so that should help once I lose. Still waiting on insurance stuff. THey say that 90% of their appeals are approved so we'll see. I'm glad your doing well and excited to see your progress. Good Luck.

Oh no what a drag - the denial. So sorry you have to go through all that again! Do you think it will eventually get approved? I had to pay myself - $9900.

I am so happy to have the band! I am pretty sore and tired today, and bothered by the chest (gas) pains, but otherwise everything went well. I was in surgery at 10:30 and out of the hospital by 1:30....then slept pretty much the rest of the day.

Let me know how things are going for you - I hope you get a quick approval after this bad news.

SO How are you doing??? I hope your recovering well. Sadly my insurance denied me and now I have to go through this whole Appeal process and wait even longer! Hopefully it will happen still! Good luck with your first week! Remember , sip sip sip!

So exciting! Totally let me know when it is approved. I have been watching my insurance claim online (Tricare) like a hawk and it came back NOT APPROVED !! AGH! I now have to wait for the letter in the mail to see WHY and than appeal it. SUCH BULL! The Dr'.s Office said 90% of their appeals come back approved. So cross your fingers for me. I will be SO bummed if It doesn't happen.

Hey! good luck with all that! they are calling my insurance this week after they get my psych evaluation in the office! the tentative date is Oct 30th! I'm hoping they can move it up a little since I'm getting anxious and excited! Def sounds good to keep in touch on here! I also found obesityhelp.com....i have an account on their as well...its just as addicting LOL! ttys keep me posted on ur date!!

Hi! Your story sounds similar to mine. I'm so ready to not only have a pretty face but a pretty bod....(excluding the baby stretch marks-25 yrs old 2 little girls) ANyway, I am excited to find someone that is having surgery around the same time as me. I am waiting for the call that finalizes if I'm having surgery in September or October. So we'll see. Good luck and hopefully we can stay posted!
