I personally had my surgery here in the states, but did go to mexico with a friend, she had her surgery by dr Alcavaz? His clinic was super clean, she had a private room, they kept her over night, (I was only in the hospital for about 5 hours), then they put us up for the night in a very nice hotel to make sure everything was o.k. I would highly recommend them. also there is a nurse on another websit that I've been on that recommends dr curry highly!

I candee- I'm new to the site too, but got my band in 2007, it is the best thing you can do for yourself! Go for it girl!

I'm new here, but not to the banding world. I was banded in March of 2007 and lost 88 pounds, in the first year in the second year I gained 30 of it back and have been very frustrated. My band is properly filled I think becuase if I eat correctly I do just fine, it is the junk food, the slider food that I can get through just fine, you see I am a stress eater, and I have had a horrible time with jobs lately, I am a mortgage banker, and I have basically been unempoyed for the past 18 months. So I have been eating a lot of chocolate and just junk. But today I found out that I am anemic, Guess what your supposed to eat when your anemic......protein.....meat.....guess I better go back to the band diet, what do you all think????? LOL.....Lets see if with some new support (that would be you all) and better diet (that would be me) how I can do? Its nice to meet you all, hope to meet some new friends on here.
