Due to insurance issues ive started to research having the surgery in Mexico and while researching every place ive looked says they do free fills for life after surgery so im curious For those of you who decided to go to mexico for your surgery, do you go to mexico every time you need a fill? how offten do you need to be filled? Did you find a surgeon locally to do fills afterwards? ive read a few posts that say going to a different surgeon to get your fills can be costly . thanks- Carlee

Hi everybody! this is my first time posting something, I just had a couple questions that ive been curious about. Ive been researching weight loss surgery for a long time, and have talked to my doctors a few times about it over the years but have never had the insurance that covers it. My Partner and i just got new insurance threw her work (regence blue cross blue shield) and was told by her boss it covers the surgery (because her boss has already had it!) So im so excited to have the possibility to have it now, but i dont exactly know what steps to take from here, and Also dont know if I have to have my insurance for a certain period of time before it would be covered Since this is a pre existing condition, was anyone covered by bcbs when being banded? what were the begining steps to get it started? This is my first time with insurance and i dont understand most of the mumbo jumbo i try to research! lol by the way I'm 5'4 with a a bmi of over 50 with too much weight to lose to even say!
