I didn't gain! I actually lost another pound??? This band is nuts! Love it.. so long as I don't lose my hair!! 8:30 am Breakfast: Atkins chocolate shake. 10:30 am Snack: SF chocolate pudding 1:00 pm Lunch: Taco salad (1/2 avocado, 1 sm tomatoe, 1/8 minced up onion, 1/4 cup lettuce, 1/3 cup taco meat made with salsa) I think I could eat taco's everyday.. my favorite food!! next to chocolate lol. 6:00 pm Supper: Same as lunch, except 1/2 cup meat and 1/2 cup lettuce. Water: 90 oz. Vitamins: 1 viactiv multi, 2 calciums Goal: I need to get going on the biotin and stuff.. I really don't want to lose my hair. I almost hope the scale shows no weight loss tomorrow lol. But then again maybe its just a side affect of anesthesia? Thats a bummer if it is. Hmm well if im going to lose my hair anyway I hope the scale is kind in the morning!

Yesterday my husband brought home a cake from the grocery store, and I was SO tempted. When he went outside I threw it in the garbage. He just assumed I ate it. LOL. I did eat one morsel but that was it. I almost wonder if subconsciously he's trying to sabatoge me.. Do you think your husbands doing that to you? Im going to keep throwing that junk away! Maybe you could do that too??

Holy buckets Ruthie! Congratulations. LOL Whats your secret??? I want to do whatever it is you are doing. That is huge to not have to be taking as much medication anymore. Gosh pretty soon you're going to be med. free!! yippee! Great Job.

I haven't had a sliming experience yet but the way a friend of mine described it to me is this: Like when you have the flu and are about to throw up you start salivating. Its like your body thinks something is 'stuck' and needs to come out by way of throwing up or PBing (productive burping) so you start making a bunch of saliva/ mucus to help it out. l LOL btw I know im not JMO, hope you don't mind me answering that question JMO.

I keep seeing the word 'chips'. If I have chocolate in the house my husband and I can't stop eating until its gone... I don't buy chocolate anymore unless its a protein shake. Maybe stop buying chips? Just a thought. I think for us chocolate is a trigger food, if we eat that then it carried over into binging on other stuff. Buy some LF triscuts or something to substitute for the crunchies he is craving. Good luck to you!

Down another pound so I guess I didn't eat too many calories yesterday at all! yippee. Its so weird because I feel like im eating until im full, therefore it defies my logic on losing weight. In the past if I ate til I was full Id gain gain gain. I really have to start thinking like I have a band now. 8:00 am Breakfast: Atkins shake w/one scoop chocolate unjury protein powder blended with ice. I love days that have lots of chocolate in them :laser:. 11:00 am Snack: SF chocolate pudding. 1:00 pm Lunch: Finely chopped pork chop about 1/2 of one + 2 TBS miracle whip. SF Chocolate pudding. Im craving chocolate!! 5:00 pm Supper: 1 cup at most chili w/ground beef + 6 saltine crackers. Too many crackers!! Vitamins: 1 Viactive multi 2 Viactive Caliciums Water: 70 oz. Goal: Cross my fingers and hope I didn't gain today!!

Sam seems so edgy and busy all the time. I think its his meds. but worry its him getting sick of me. It makes me sad. Makes me want to eat eat eat eat. Only now am I realizing what an emotional eater I am. Sam wants to build another 4 plex, part of me wants to do that too but I worry its not the best thing for our family/relationship right now. I worry that he wants to keep so busy so that he can be too busy to work on our relationship. I feel like we are ships passing in the sea, don't reallly know each other anymore. I feel like im the same as always but hes changing now because of his medication. Often I wonder if his libido is coming back but I repulse him because of my weight?? Everytime I try to ask him about it he says he doesn't know if its coming back or not. Says sometimes he thinks it is sometimes he thinks it isn't. We got into an argument saturday night, he held a grudge until today. For me once I say my peice the arguments over and I move on, for him it seems he just stays mad for so long. I think its his meds because he's never been this way previously. I hate his stupid tumor! I hope when I get thinner things will be differant. Maybe Ill be more fun and outgoing and turn him on again. Patience patience patience.

ericsmom, I get the same way right before my 'time'. I retain water, get bummed, weepy even lol. Just try to look on the bright side, when your periods over all that water weight is going to come off and you'll probably drop 5 pounds overnight. You're doing a great job at eating right. You're doing a great job at exercising. And just remember you aren't on a 'diet' like in the old pre-band days. This is now a life long journey and you don't have to 'hit it hard' because you're going to eventually give up, pig out, and gain the weight back plus some more. Now you have your amazing band tool to stop you and help you. Every month you are going to weigh less and less! Plus I've been reading a lot of the threads on this site and a lot of ppl say that you don't really start losing until after one or sometimes 2 fills. But you m'dear have already lost 34.8 lbs!!! You are doing better than most. Keep up the good work, and try to keep your spirits up. Its just your period getting you down.

My doc only required one day of liquid diet before surgery.. is he brilliant or what? lol. BTW I had zero complications and healed fast. His theory is that you heal faster if you are nourished. -
Great going Mary! Ive gotta start measuring in inches! Thanks for the reminder. It must feel awesome to think of 22 inches lost and 15 pounds too. And best of all its gone for good :Banane27:! Sorry to hear about your tummy ache. If it was in your lower abdomen it might just be your bowels revving up! lol beans can do that to ya.

Im on the mushies. So like my taco salad was from the local fast food taco place. The meat had been cooking all day im sure as it was VERY soft/mushy and broken up (does that make sense?). And then sour cream, black olives, tomatoe bits, cheese, sauce and a bit of shredded lettuce, some salsa. I would say this is more on the extreme side of mushies. Before I ate this as a meal I had some easier mushies like mashed potatoes, cream of wheat, etc. LOL everytime I try something new I do it with trepidation for fear of pain. So far so good, No problems whatsoever yet.

Hi Julysters! Well Im down another pound today :Banane27: ! Ate my first bite of chicken yesterday in the form of chicken spread. It was divine. And then last night had Taco salad with no chips, basically just the toppings - delicious. I love this band! Its so weird because I thought for sure Id be up at least 1/2 a pound because I felt like I ate as much as I wanted and not really 'diet' food. Low and behold the weight is gone FOREVER. I hope lol. Im still not that sure of myself and my new tool.

Last night my husband said the nicest thing to me and it made me feel really good. I think everyone should hear it, maybe it will make you feel good too. I was saying to him how I was worried that I wasn't going to lose a pound that day because I had ate a couple bites of silk pie with supper. And he was like ' Kari this is a rest of your life thing, you aren't on a 'diet' anymore you are on a life plan to lose weight, you have your whole life to lose the weight, as long as you are losing nomatter how slow you are doing great.' And I thought to myself.. oh yeah, im not on a diet anymore where I have to 'hit it hard' because I know eventually im going to give up get sick of it and pig out. Thats the cycle of my life up to this point, I was always a good dieter in that I could lose a bunch of wieght fast, but then eventually id gain it back even faster and more than I started out at. It hit home to me what everyone is always saying.. This band is a tool! Ive gotta work it and stop thinking like I did before I had it. Im not saying that im going to make eating pie an everyday occurance but once in awhile im going to have something BAD to eat thats just so GOOD. lol. But unlike the past its not going to blow my 'diet' and set me on a path to gaining tons of weight and giving up on losing and getting to a healthy weight.

Hey Leona, sorry if I offended you calling a fudge bar icecream. I think Im the guilty one that did that lol. I just want to say that my point wasn't that you shouldn't eat that, just maybe not as a night time snack. I have no idea what time you are eating at though. lol good luck to you!
