    Foods 4 Today

    The scale did not move today boo hooo! I did really well yesterday too and ate less than 900 calories plus exercised. Oh well I guess its just making up for the days I ate ice cream and still lost a pound. Or maybe I need to eat more calories to lose? Ive read some ppls posts about that, the 'starving body' syndrome or something. :cry Hmm well Im going to keep on with eating healthy today at a reduced calorie level and exercise and see what happens tomorrow. And no Sugar today!! 8:00 am Breakfast: Atkins shake + 1 scoop Unjury. 10:00 am Snack: SF choc. pudding (chocolotaholic). 12:30 pm Lunch: 1 1/2 peices stone ground whole wheat/grain toasted crustless bread, 2/3 cup sloppy joe meat, 1 activa blueberry yogurt. 6:00 pm Supper: 2 instant Cream of wheat, SF choc. pudding Water: 80 oz. Vitamins: 2 Tbs. Liquid multi, 1 calcium chew, 1500 mcg biotin Exercise: cleaned my entire house Goal: I purposely ate more carbs today, I want to see what effect it has on my losing weight tomorrow. Exercise tomorrow on the treadmil. Stick to my no sugar challenge for 3 more days!

    July 2006 Band Crew

    Im so glad everyone is getting NSV's! Yayyy for us julysters. Dezadoo, you got an nsv too but just didn't know it. When people are complimenting you about your tan its because you are glowing and looking healthier!! Im pretty certain of this. My husband pointed out that people don't always notice size but they do recoginize health and vibrance! Im glad too that everyones first days back at work went well. I just want to report that my five day challenge to myself to not have any sugar is going well. Im staying on track! No sugar today.

    July 2006 Band Crew

    Does anyone else think about BMI much? My husband outweighs me by about 50 lbs. but his BMI is about 30 but he's broad and muscular. My BMI is currently 38, I can't wait until mine is 30 so that im the same fatness as my hubby lol. Im sick of being the chubby one in the relationship. I can't wait until I don't look like the fattest one in pictures anymore. I'm on a 5 day challenge starting today and ending on Friday, I'm not going to eat any sugar!

    Yep scale didn't move, but tomorrow its going to! 7:45 am Breakfast: Atkins shake + 1 scoop unjury. 12:00 pm Lunch: Skinless baked chicken 1/2 cup, 2 flowerettes of broccoli, 1 SF choc. pudding. 6:00 pm Supper: 1/2 chicken breast in alfredo sauce, a couple bites of rib meat, 1/2 cup of mashed potatoe, a couple bites of green beans. Vitamins: 1500 mcg Biotin, 2 Tbs. Multi vit, 1 Calcium chew Water: 60 oz. Exercise: 30 min. treadmil 3mph 0-5% incline. Goal: Stay on track with my 5 day challenge to not have any sugar. Exercise tomorrow.

    8:00 am Breakfast: Atkins shake + 1 scoop unjury 11:00 am Lunch: 2 Chicken tender strips, SF chocolate pudding 5:00 pm Supper: Chinese chicken, pork, with broccoli a few bites of shrimp in all I probably ate about 2 cups. 6:00 pm Snack: Ugh I hate to type this its humiliating but I had a sm. sundae with fudge. Im sure I will pay the price by having a nonmoving scale in the morning. Vitamins: 2 Tbs. liquid multi, 1500 mcg Biotin, 1 Calcium chew Water: 90 oz. Exercize: what exercize? bad bad again but I was gone all day and took my daughter to the amusement park on some rides and stuff. Thats being active too right? lol And I went appliance shopping, and Grocery shopping, hey thats walking.. maybe could be called exercise but my heart rate wasn't up so I doubt it counts. We'll see what my friendly scale says in the morning. Goal: For the next 5 days no ice cream, no sugar period. If I eat any sugar I will have to post a naked picture of myself!! lol if that doesn't do it nothing will motivate me.

    Stephanie, I totally agree with you, protein makes you not feel as hungry. Its so odd! But true. I remember when they used to say eat lots of complex carbohydrates.. lol nowonder America ended up getting fatter and fatter. But I just can't give up my carbs completely lol. Pre band I did the Atkins diet (low carb) and was pretty successful on it I lost about 40 pounds pretty quickly but eventually I just felt like I couldn't live without carbs and I ended up gaining all my weight right back plus some more. Thats why now Im trying to eat a little of everything but focusing on having more protein. And Im trying really hard to make rules and boundaries for myself like drinking LOTS of water, not eating anything after 6:00 pm, eating the healthy stuff first like protein and vegetables and then having just a bite or two of the tasty carbs I like so much. I really hope it works! I just have to share a NSV I had today too, earlier this summer I ordered some T-shirts online and they were a size 2x but they are the tight fitting kind so they are more like a 1x or XL even.. and of course they looked terrible on my fat rolled tummy hanging over the tops of my too tight shorts so I never wore them. Then today it was kind of cool/breezy outside so I put on a pair of jeans that are now loose yay! and thought Id try on one of the T'shirts and oh my goodness it fit and was a bit roomy even!! Oh happy day.

    July 2006 Band Crew

    Hi! Thank goodness this site is back up. Missed you all so much and reading the threads. I had chinese tonight yum!! I never know if im going to lose weight or not lol. One day I at a bunch of mexican food, and a DQ small hotfudge sundae for supper and the next day I was down a pound. Then yesterday I ate totally healthy skinless baked chicken, steamed broccoli etc kept below 1000 calories even and nada.. whats up with this?? lol

    Sam's results came back from his blood work from Monday, everything is improving but not his testosterone levels. Next appt. in Sept. will be the MRI and blood tests again. Doc will probably start him on testosterone if his levels haven't improved by then. He's looking kind of peaked this week, I hope he's not getting sicker. What would I do without the love of my life? I've got to just pray that his tumor is shrinking. I've got to believe he will be ok and make it through this. At least he is eating healthier now that im eating healthier.. thats gotta be a good thing. Ive gotta get healthy and strong so that I can take care of him and our family if need be in case he has to have brain surgery. I can and will do this! You can take that to the bank.

    Another Pound Bites the Dust

    Wow im down another pound today!! yayyy! So now im at 211. Exercise definitely works.:clap2: 8:30 am Breakfast: Atkins shake + One scoop unflavored unjury. 12:00 pm Lunch: Skinless roasted chicken thigh, 1 1/2 peices of deli ham thinly sliced, SF chocolate pudding.. was planning on eating some steamed broccoli but was too full! yay! Will have for supper instead.:hungry: 6:00 pm Supper: Skinless roasted chicken thigh, broccoli 1 cup, 1 blueberry activa yogurt, 1 SF chocolate pudding. ( I was actually low on calories today so I HAD to have the pudding hehe) Vitamins: 1500 mcg Biotin, 2 Tbs. Liquid multi, 2 Calcium chews. Water: 110 oz. Exercise: 30 Min. on treadmil 3 mph 0-5% incline, 1.5 Mile walk outside with the family. Goal: Exercise exercise exercise.. I hope im down a pound tomorrow!!

    Hey Paulax, I have a theory about what doctors tell you to eat. They tell you what is good for most. And while I take everything my doc tells me to heart and seriously consider it.. at the end of the day I know what is best for me. But if/when I am confused I fall back on their advice. My doc says no snacking too however im a firm believer in having one snack per day that is small in carbs/calories and hopefully high in protein/vitamins. Or if its chocolate that works too lol like SF choc. pudding. I say let your body be your gauge, if you stop losing you know you have to do something differant. If you feel low energy you know you have to do something differant. I say ride the wave that works best for you. But thats just my 2 cents lol for what its worth.

Im nursing my baby still though and I suppose she's eating more now as she is getting bigger.. 4 months +1 week old and weighing about 18 lbs. A very chubby cherub baby! But nursing makes it so difficult to gage how much I can eat. Its neat that I can eat more calories and still lose weight, but its difficult because I really do need to eat more calories and I think I do feel more hungry than the non nursing person. I would just like to know how all the celebrities do it??? *hmpf*

    I weigh myself every AM, I know its not usually a good thing to weigh yourself daily but it works for me. Anyhow Im down another pound and I feel like I have been eating so much. Im nursing my baby still though and I suppose she's eating more now as she is getting bigger.. 4 months +1 week old and weighing about 18 lbs. A very chubby cherub baby! But nursing makes it so difficult to gage how much I can eat. Its neat that I can eat more calories and still lose weight, but its difficult because I really do need to eat more calories and I think I do feel more hungry than the non nursing person. I would just like to know how all the celebrities do it??? *hmpf*

    Ya I think Id like to shoot for about a cup per meal. Im also a nursing mother so Im ALWAYS hugry but have barely enough time for 3 meals and a snack per day.

    7:30 am Breakfast: Atkins shake + one scoop protein powder unjury 12:00 pm Lunch: Chicken chili 2 cups (320 calories) 3:00 pm Snack: SF chocolate pudding 6:30 pm Supper: Homemade chicken pot pie with the vegies out of my garden. Im going to try to eat a very small portion, maybe a cup at most. One SF pudding. Ugh why did I have to have the pudding? lol Water: 80 0z. Vitamins: 2 tbs Liquid vitamins, 1 Calcium chew Goal: See what the scale says tomorrow, I think Im eating too much again. Its so hard to gage. How many calories can you eat a day and still lose weight?
