9:00 am Breakfast: Atkins drink + Unjury. 1 Sf Jello pudding cup. 12:00 pm Lunch: 1/2 can Tuna, 3 T. Miracle whip, 1/2 Cubed Avacado, 15 Kashi crackers. 6:00 pm Supper: Ate at my moms, 1 Vietnamese eggroll homemade, 1 C. split pea with ham soup again homemade.... This meal tasted good but it didn't really go together lol what was my mom thinking?? 7:00 pm Desert/Snack: Broke my no food after 6 pm rule but hey I succeeded at my 5 day sugar fast!! So tonight I had 1/2 of a small hot fudge sundae from DQ. Vitamins: 2Tbs liquid multi, 1 Calcium chew, 1500 mcg biotin. Water: Lost track but Im sure it was over 64 oz. Goal: Exercise tomorrow! Didn't get any in today, bummer.:think

Yay Diane! Even though Ive never met or talked with you personally you have no idea just how much you were on my thoughts! I was worried sick about you. Im so happy everything was such a success. You are a great example of what positive thinking can do, not to mention prayer, and support. Once again, thank you for sharing your life with us, such an inspiration (not to sound cliche, but I don't know how else to express it).

I believe in the starvation mode thing, for a few days I only ate between 8-900 calories and my body would not let go of one ounce. Then I increased to 12-1300 calories and a pound just dropped right off. Im now trying to maintain that range daily. Everyday im down a few ounces now it seems. Try eating more mushy foods if you can't get enough of the solids in for awhile. Or get a slight unfil maybe? I haven't had my band long enough to an expert at all though. Yet still im compelled to give my oppinion lol. Yesterdays meals: Breakfast: Atkins shake + One scoop of protien powder (Unjury), SF chocolate pudding cup. Lunch: 1/2 can tuna, 3-4 T. Miracle whip, 1/2 Avacado cubed and mixed in with tuna mixture, 15 Kashi crackers. Supper: Crock pot cooked Pork roast 1/2 cup, 3 baby red potatoes, 2 bites or so of cooked carrot, a few bites of boiled onions. Water: more than 80 oz., liquid multi Vitamin, Calcium chew, 1500 mcg Biotin. All of this was between 12-1300 calories.

Congrats Mary, I see you lost more! You rock. Im glad you are on the mend with your sliming attack. I for one will take it to heart and try to avoid running into a similar situation.

Hi Michelle, I have a good friend who is very petite, she wears about a size 6 and she complains about her size sometimes too, and we've actually had an indepth talk about this very subject. And I guess what I came to realize is that your size does not give you self esteem. A lot of thin people have feelings of not being good enough just like a lot of overweight people do. When people who are thin complain about their weight what I hear them saying is thay they are having bad feelings about themselves. And just to put in into perspective someone who weighs 200 pounds more than you do might want to tell you to 'shut up' if you were to say you were unhappy with your size. One more thing too, try to remember what it was like when you were 15, its a tough age with lots of changes. You start to develop curves, and pimples, and it all hits you so fast. Your daughter is probably having a hard time with these changes. One thing you definitely want to avoid is comparing yourself with your daughters in a way that puts you in competition. My mom did that with me and I think we are not as close today because of it. I think you'll feel more restricted when you have a fill, but I don't think it will make you feel differantly about skinny people. Thats something you have to change for yourself. Jelousy is a negetive emotion, and will do nothing but sabotage you.. let it go.

Ok so I woke up this morning and im down another pound! I was definitely not eating enough calories for a few days there and my body would NOT give up an ounce. Then I ate around 1300 and poof a pound just falls right off and I didn't even exercise yesterday. Well today im going to try to eat similar amount of calories and exercise and see what happens. 9:30 am Breakfast: Atkins + Unjury, SF chocolate pudding. 12:00 pm Lunch: 1/2 can tuna, 3-4 T. miracle whip, 1/2 avocado cubed and mixed in with tuna and mw, 15 Kashi crackers.:hungry: yumm I liked this meal, next time I think I'd add in a cubed tomato. 6:00 pm Supper: 1/2 cup pork roast, 1 c. Baby red potatos, a bite of carrot, a few bites of cooked onions. Vitamins: 2T. liquid multi, 1 Calcium chew, 1500 mcg biotin Water: >80 oz. Exercise: Treadmil, 25 min 3mph. Goal: Exercise more!!

*tap tap tap, 'Is this thing on?'* Geez, I can hardly believe it but I dropped another pound today *does a cart wheel* !! I've read some posts where people talk about starving body syndrome and I think in my case it holds true, for a few days I tried to seriously cut back on my calories to about 900 per day and omgosh my body clung to every ounce and would let nothing go! Then the past couple days Ive increased my calories to about 1300 and poof a pound just disappears. YES! I also finally started to take my measurements today on a sadder note, lol my waist is bigger than my 6'4" husbands who weighs 260 lbs., boy that sucks. But im going to let that motivate me rather than hinder me!!! Wish me luck julyster friends. Over and out.

Do you mean in addition to my treadmil regime? I don't know if it would be possible for me to add walking in place because I would rather do treadmil and also I barely have time to do the 30 mins im currently doing. I know I will eventually have to do more exercise but I want to do things slow and steady, and since Ive only just begun exercising again...eek im not sure I want to add anything additional. Between managing the office for a very busy business and having a 4 month old im stretched and already feel guilty for taking the time to exercise and journal. But I really love the fact that you commented on my journal .. THANK YOU! It motivates me greatly to know someone looks and cares enough to write me !!!

Re: Dezadoos post on how to avoid loose skin these are things I can think of that will make skin healthier in general and help to increase/maintain elasticity. These are just in MHO. To avoid loose skin: lose weight slower, build muscles, take Vitamins for skin health, exfoliate, moisturize, drink lots of Water, make sure you have fats in your diet (healthy fats like the omegas), hmmm this is all I can think of right now! Err wait I almost forgot.. exercise is great for the skin because it makes you sweat, and sauna's too, increasing blood flow to the skin is good for it.. massages, wraps, etc.

When I update my ticker I just make my new ticker, then I right click on the image of the new ticker I just made, then I click on copy, then I go to signature on LBT and paste it in the signature box. You just right click in the signature box and click paste. Good Luck!

No movement on the scale today, but since im exercising and staying at a reduced calorie level with lots of protein, Im probably losing inches anyway. Im doing good with the sugar challenge only today and tomorrow to go. Im proud of myself for not eating any sugar. My daughter has orientation today for Kindergarten, pretty exciting stuff . My baby is growing up. 7:30 am Breakfast: Atkins + Unjury. 11:30 am Lunch: Tuna salad, Kashi crackers. 5:00 pm Supper: Apple Bees riblets and mashed potatoes a few bites of baked beans. Exercise: I was on my feet all day running around busy, but I didn't do treadmil. Vitamins: 2 T. Liquid Multi, 1 Calcium chew, 1500 mcg Biotin Water: >80 oz. Goal: Exercise on the treadmil tomorrow. Stick to my no sugar challenge. Get my desk space organized. Call again for office help asap!!

Yay Steph! That is phenominal. Hope you have a fun time at lunch with the principal today! LOL Id be nervous if I were you, make sure you are on your best behavior so you don't get dentention haha. Are you down anymore sizes in clothes? I bet you are close if not yet. Congratulations, be proud!

As a newbie I just have to say this was a very helpful thread. Im really wanting to lose weight right now but if I don't Im not stressing about it daily. I did so many 'diets' before getting my band and I was pretty good at them too and could lose a fair amount of weight and then Id buy a bunch of new clothes and then POOF!! all my weight would come right back to me. I love how someone stated 'slow and steady wins the race'. In the past i'd always try to lose fast and furious lol because I knew it was only a matter of time unti I would give up and gain it all back. Im gonna do this slow and steady and focus on health and eating in a way I can LIVE with and not feel like im 'dieting'. Its so hard sometimes to wrap my mind around the fact that I have a band now and I need to think differently about how I lose weight. Ok enough rambling lol. Thanks for bumping this post.

Hm well this is very interesting, I think I really do need to eat more carbs. The scale went in the negetive direction this morning. Or maybe the secret is to change it up daily .. one day eat more carbs the next eat less? lol I'll get this figured out yet!! 7:45 am Breakfast: Atkins + Unjury 11:30 am Lunch: Sloppy joe meat @ 1 c., 1 small tomatoe diced, 1/4 small onion chopped. 3:00 pm Snack: 1 instant cream wheat, 1 SF choc. pudding. 6:00 pm Supper: 2/3 cup egg salad, 3/4 cup potatoe salad. Water: over 80 oz., stopped keeping track after that. Vitamins: 2 Tbs. Liquid Multi, 1500 mcg biotin, 1 calcium chew. Exercise: 30 Mins 3mph treadmil, did 3 minutes jogging, and an extra 5 for a cool down at 2mph. Goal: Stay on with my no sugar challenge! It feels great to be succeeding at something healthy. Even if I don't lose weight its so good for my body to have a break from sugar and to be getting exercise. I need to hire someone to take over some of my office work, I just can't do it all anymore. Ugh it feels like I am admitting defeat but I have to look at it as a smart business decision. So I guess my goal is to finally get off my duff and make some phone calls to lighten my load. I will call tomorrow.
