    Belching

I was banded Aug 10, 2009 and I am the belching queen! I look at the belching as the "water going down the drain" like in a sink. Just helps clear up whatever might be in the top part of the stomach. That kind of sounds gross! I've noticed if I eat and sit for a while when I stand up I have a bad case of the burps! My husband keeps saying I should join a contest. I guess I'd rather them come out the top than the back side! The gas-x strips you put on your tongue are great - they do help a bit but also I just pace around the entry way to my house rather briskly and it helps get everything moving!

9/2/2009 Status Report for August Bandits!

I was banded on 8/10 and have been doing great until this week. I started on "soft" regular foods and feel like I am eating too much. I ate a roll last night and it went straight down. Maybe I'm over doing it. I've lost 18lbs so far but my weight has definitely stalled. I have my first fill on 9/16 - I'm wondering if I should move that up to this week. At first I missed certain foods but now I miss feeling that "fullness" in my chest that says your done! I had a little bit of fajita chicken tonight with no problems, meaning I never felt full after eating the chicken and some peppers. I think I'm just overly paranoid and think something is wrong, when it probably isn't but I keep thinking I've stretched my pouch, or my band has slipped, or something crazy like that. Am I crazy or do you all have those thoughts and feelings too? I'm sure it is just a phase but I'm ready to get this party moving!

    5 weeks post op

I will be 5 weeks post op in a few days. My problem is that I don't feel restricted anymore. It seems like I get full just as fast but I'm hungry sooner. I've also stopped losing weight. Is this a sign that it is time for a fill? Or could it be that I've eaten too much and stretched my pouch? So many mysteries that I'm trying to figure out - Any thoughts??? So sorry to hear about you being sick so often. I have found that if I feel sick to my stomach if I can get a good burp that it helps relieve a lot of pressure! The flat coke should help with the burping!
  7. So - I had my band on August 10th. I've been very good about only eating soup and protein. I have noticed though that I can eat more than 1/2 a cup at a time before I feel "satisfied" - is that normal? If I didn't have the scars on my stomach I would think I had never been banded - not that i've tried to scarf down a cheeseburger or anything but I feel the way I did before. I'm losing weight - 18lbs so far but it is just strange - or maybe I am just crazy :-) VERY POSSIBLE!!!
