I just got a slight unfill the other day. Weeee, life looks good again! No more PBing water! :biggrin1:

Any carbonation could strech the pouch. Anyways, I had a beer or two in the last year or so, but nothing else. Seems my tolerance for alcohol has decreased.
-
FANTASTIC!!!! My dear, you look great. Now go and have fun, do all the stuff you wanted to do, but could not do. Best Wishes Vedrana

So does my boyfriend's, and he is 23. Some people's nose hair is just restless, hehe. Cool, a balding pubic area! Wish I had that. My BF would be thrilled. lol Sometimes when I see a baby which is carried around, I feel envy. I wish I could go back to being breast-fed and shitting in my pants. But it's not gonna happen. lol You can scedule these kind of things? Where do I sign up? lol Hey, relax. Everybody dies eventually and every human existence is futile, but we can at least have a nice laugh on the way to the other side of the rainbow. :heh:

For VG 10 cc Bandsters ONLY
Croatica replied to BeacheeGirl's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have 6cc in a 10cc band. Fluids do not go down well. Gotta relax the band a bit. -
It has been a catastrophe over the last month. Firstly, I poisoned my stomach with some chicken. The doctor prescribed me some pills to reduce my gastric acidity. Everything seemed fine until a few days later when I experienced reflux. Gradually it became more severe and the last two weeks have been a no-sleep zone for me. I have stuffed just about every pillow under my head and back, but this did not help. I also try to refrain from drinking before I go to bed. I have been coughing so much that I have the feeling my throat is ripped apart. I can barely talk. I went to see my family doctor and she gave me antibiotics and an anti-cough syrup. Every morning I wake up with a high temperature. And I haven't eaten anything solid(not even stew) for a month. I have been living on smaller amounts of juice, milk and cocoa enhanced with Vitamins. I also lost 10 kilos during this period and I am now much closer to my goal weight. I have been banded for 13 months now. And what does my band doctor say? Well, he told me the same thing I read here, but he refuses to relax my band because he is, I guess, an incarnation of Satan, lol. So, help!!! Anybody out there having such extreme problems?

faithmd, cut off 10 centimeters, just chop off the dead tips. That should give your hair a break. My hair stopped falling out after I cut the tips off. -
Well, I stopped drinking 4 hours before I go to sleep and I must say - this has significantly improved the situation! No more reflux. Now there is just that feeling of tightness. I am going to see my doc tomorrow, so we will see what happens. Thanks for the support people, you are the greatest.

I have been told that I look like a walrus. That's what made me change my mind and go for a lapband. :biggrin1:

Hey guys, I was banded June 27th 2006. Here's a before and after photo. More work in progress... Anyways, extreme reflux, feeling a bit weak, but still happy to be banded. Hope everyone else is having a better time....
-
Yeah, I did the tests and the band is fine. Its just that I am so tight I can barely drink some water. And I told him - ''I am thirsty all the time and I cannot drink, please remove some silicon'' and he said that I will start gaining weight and he cannot do that. The problem is - he is the ONLY doctor in Croatia that does lapbanding. The only good thing about is that I am losing about a 1kg in two days. Fast weightloss, but not very healthy.

Before and After Lap Band Surgery - PICTURES ONLY
Croatica replied to DeLarla's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Okay, I found a photo of me 4 years ago when I was had 128kg(hence the much shorter hair) , exactly the same number of kilos as before my surgery which was a year ago. This is how I looked like.... And this was taken yesterday.... :biggrin1: -
No bread for me too. Hurts like hell. So yes, I guess its normal.
-
Heh, the point is - you will not be able to eat everything in sight. Not even ice cream or chocolate. When your band is completely tight(in the time of highest weightloss, like mine is right now, a year after surgery), you cannot eat more than 50-80 gramms of ice cream. In the past few weeks, I completely stopped eating solid food because of stomach issues(gastric acid) and I eat a few spoons of ice cream every day(I choose this special children's one, with vitamins) and I am not hungry at all(I eat nothing else that day). I also drink a few deciliters of natural juice and as much Water as I can. That's like 600-800 calories a day. And no, I am not starving myself, I get all the Vitamins and minerals, and Proteins, just not so many calories. Before my band was so tight, I could eat much more ice cream, but no donuts or stuff like that, solid food made me feel queasy. To resume - the band itself makes you change your habits. IF YOU DO NOT CHEW ENOUGH, YOU WILL FEEL PAIN IN YOUR STOMACH AND YOU WILL HAVE TO VOMIT. Finally, common sense will tell you to stop overeating in order to function normally.

Okay, PLEASE somebody help me, I just went to sleep in an armchair. I was sleeping with my back on at least 45 degree slope and I still coughed and almost choked. How the hell am I supposed to get any sleep?
-
Well, you do not technically burp. You just feel uneasy, its enough to just touch the back of your throat with your finger and food flies out. Have you ever seen a mother bird feed her chicks in the nest? Well, this reflex looks something like that. When you overeat, the food is basically in the esophagus, so it's much easier to vomit. However, vomit is not the right word, I would call it an involontary purge. Anyways, feels much better after you do it(you should not overeat in the first place, but if you do, make sure you purge afterwards lol).

Oh, yes, its that time of the year! Its time to go to the seaside! :biggrin1: Anyways, I am a great fan of scuba diving and generally swimming along shallow coastal regions/reefs. However, my doctor told me I should not do this, because there is chance for the band to slipp off. Honestly, I believe its a bunch of bull, since I read on the Internet that I can resume swimming after 4-6 weeks after operation! And I would rather swimm, since it is great aerobic workout that burns callories. Any opinions, experiences? :biggrin1:

No, he injects himself. And others. :biggrin1::biggrin1::biggrin1::biggrin1::biggrin1:

Hah, I had my first fill today. And my first softie dinner. My mother mixed mexican style tuna for me, my tongue was on fire. :biggrin1: :biggrin1:
-
I guess he thought right after the surgery. Today he told me I can do whatever I want. :biggrin1: Anyways, going to the seaside tomorrow.

Did you have a hangover? Because if you did, its normal that you are extra hungry. Thats why I avoid drinking alchoholic beverages. But I know its pretty shitty if you are amongst friends and everybody is drinking and stuff... :think
