  5. Part 3/3

Had a flood from upstairs bathroom to downstairs which was a pain - maybe using that as bit of an excuse? Weight has jumped up 3lbs, annoying, but if I didn't stand on the bloody scales every day I'd probably not notice.

Have you been getting reactions from family and friends? Or on a mad clothes frenzy? I seem to be clearing out closets and buying wire drawers from Ikea so that I can instantly find the gorgeous top I want to wear (except I need to lose another couple of stones before I can get into them) Still, not a bad mindset.

Was in M&S and saw gorgeous greeny yellow trench coat and managed to resist the urge to buy for "in the future". I don't have the dosh anyway, but good to think that within a year or so we'll be able to ALWAYS shop in "normal" shops within a "normal" size range.

OK - before I bore the pants off you, hope your fill went well, apologies again for disappearing off the radar, and looking forward to hearing your stories.

    Love, Bx

  6. Part 2 of 3

Anyhoo, got my fill - he put 3ml in, and I did the drink of water thing and that was fine, but by the end of the day I was eating a chicken salad for dinner with no restriction still. I e-mailed him from my son's, and before I got home he was on the phone, and I now have another appt scheduled for 21st August.

I'm really interested to know how you got on because apart from the few weeks difference in surgery, we're about at the same level.

I haven't been as good about exercise as I had been - haven't really felt like I had much "get up and go" I think it "got up and went" LOL

  7. Hi there (Part 1 of 2)

    - sorry to have taken so long to get back to you. Computer problems. Also intermittent ones, which drove me nuts, but I'm back online again, have ditched my wireless network and gone back to good old fashioned ethernet cables!

Anyway - how did you get on with your fill? I was in Dublin (was in hospital having gynae things done on 30th July when the guy was in Edinburgh) so had to go where the next date was but with the cheapest flights, so ended up going to Dublin for the day. Stayed overnight at my son's in Glasgow before driving down to Prestwick airport, and did the same coming back, because I'm such a rubbish night driver.

(have had to split message into 2 because it's too long)

  8. Hi B, how are you managing so far? I lost 21 lbs in 4 weeks bu it's so slow now, most of that was in the first week post op. My first band fill is August 7 and should be 'interesting.'

  9. I was banded on 2nd June, and have now started chewing, and chewing, and chewing. How do others cope with having cold food on their plates? I like cold food, but not cold food that is supposed to be hot.

A friend of mine (actually, the girl in the next bed during surgery) recommended this site, and she's a great inspiration. Bx
