I was banded on Nov. 22 of 08. Have lost about 45 pounds. It took me 6 fills to get where I needed to be. I've started exercising everyday so hopefully I can start losing more weight soon. My weight has been at a stand still for the past month. Frustrated but hanging in there!!

Does anyone have to take medifast to loose 15- 20 lbs prior to their surgery date?

I remember feeling that way!! I used to just go to bed early so that I could wake up one day closer to surgery!! Hang in there, it will be worth it soon! sabrina c -
:thumbup:Wow, good job! Keep in mind that the weight loss will slow down soon. Mine did after the first few months. I lost an average of about two pounds a week the first couple of months. I have lost 45 pounds so far since my surgery in Nov. 08. It gets frustrating sometimes but hang in there. sabrina c

I chose the lapband because I felt safer knowing that it could be removed if something happened. The bypass is not reversible. I hear that gb patients have a better chance of regaining the weight. Whatever you choose, it will be worth it. You'll feel like a million bucks with each pound that you loose. Best of luck. sabrina c

Wow, 30 pounds? I had my surgery back in Nov. 08 and have lost 45 pounds. Be prepared soon to stop losing the weight as rapidly as you are now. That's when I kind of got discouraged. Hang in there and keep up the good work! sabrina c

I think we've all been where you are. I love my sweets too! Dust yourself off and start again. Sounds like you're getting back on track!

Sounds like you're keeping a positive attitude and that is what's really important. Some weeks you won't lose any weight but it's okay. Keep up the good work!
