Best Wishes to everyone getting banded this week, so far August seems like it has been a good month for banding with all of the great posts. I am being banded on August 23rd, and check this site daily, as for me I really appreciate all the posts from everyone who has and will go before me. All of your information is important-even the small stuff! Best Wishes to all of you recovering post-op and please keep posting.Thanks,Chrissie.

Just try not to think to-far-ahead.Keep your concentration on what you would normaly do during the day (work,kids,school,house,etc.)Take things in baby steps. Or try and think of it as a mini-vacation.Think WOW! !MEXICO!. Its mind over matter,thats what works for me.I'm a very impatient person and I have to do this alot when Im waiting for something important.

Re:Is Trizzy psycho? NO- your not crazy everyone has feelings of "what if?" It dosen't matter if its lapband or dental surgery its a bit scary. But we all need to remember that this IS a very safe surgery with very low complications rate.We will all do great and be able to enjoy all the benefits of the desicion we have chosen to make our lives healthier.I can't wait to be able to be active with my kids and keep up with them,wich is very hard with this extra weight on now. Sure, we need to have are affairs in order, thats just the smart thing to do.But for me to have this surgery done will be the start of my new life, not the loss of this one.Stay positive!....and btw Trizzy.... I don't know if you got my old post that I'm getting my band on Aug.24th-the day before you-so I will be keeping an eye out for you!!!

Congradulations to every August band member- it does seem OUR month is off to a great start with every one doing so well :confused: please keep up the posts they are so encouraging to those of us waiting our turn, we want to know every detail! its sort of like trying to describe pregnancy/childbirth to someone who just found out thier expecting.I can't read enough...and I wish all of you the best of luck in your new lives.

TRIZZY**** I''ve just sat back and read messages, collecting information (this group is great!) untill I found all of you! my new found August banding friends! and this goes out especialy to "TRIZZY" because Im getting banded with Dr.Ortiz on August 24th-the day before you! I will probably see you there.Just like everyone waiting painfully patiently for thier turn to come-Im SOO EXCITED!! Good luck to all, now I know I don't have to just read the meeages.....chrissie
