Just wanted to say hey to everyone and congrats on all of our August Bandsters! We are on our way! Good luck to all of you waiting to be banded and keep up the great work on the pre-op diets. I am 2 weeks post op, eating mushies and doing great. Still a little low on energy and having some soreness in the port area. ITCHY INCISIONS! If anyone would like to know about my experience at Bajanor in Tijuana, Mexico just let me know. Sorry I do not post much... but I do read often and check in on everyone's progress and I AM SO PROUD! Everyone keep up the great work! :clap2:

    Fuller Foods????

I am in the full liquid stage, and today for lunch had a serving of hummus and it was SOOOO good! The best thing I have had since my surgery last Monday and I feel really satisfied. I also think it has plenty of protein.

Bajanor (or as I often misspell Banajor)

Hey lighter! Thanks so much for all of your help and for sharing your information. My surgery was changed to August 7th, this Monday (had trouble getting flight that I needed) . I will post how everything went as soon as I can get to a computer afterwards. I fly out Monday morning at 5:45... my first time flying! I will return home on Wednesday. Hopefully I will be able to use the computer at the hotel to post. Wish me luck and thanks for all of the good wishes! Have a great weekend! Charissa

    August Band Crew!!!!!

I found out yesterday :think that I will have to move my surgery from this Friday to the following Monday, August 7th. Although I was disapointed... It isn't really all that bad. Except I have to change my tickers! ha ha! Anyway just wanted to wish everyone good luck and I cannot wait to hear everyone's stories. I will keep you all in my prayers for a speedy recovery! :gluck: NOW STICK TO THE PRE-OPS... You can do it!:clap2:
  11. If so... what was your experience in getting the funds transferred to your physician. Thanks in advance:confused:

    Aug 4 pre-bandsters unite!

Pre-op diet is moving along (Having headache and not feeling so well though) and I am so excited about my surgery! Good luck to everyone and STAY ON TRACK!
  13. Well my doctor does not require the pre op diet, but suggests it because of the benefits of reducing your liver size and condition. He said anyone with a BMI of 40 or higher should do the pre-op diet to eliminate risks. Low fat, low carbs and high Protein is what he suggests. So... I just did my own research. Anyway thanks for the feedback. I really really appreciate it! I am so glad to have found this board... everyone is friendly and SO helpful!
  14. After researching lots of different pre op diets this is what I am following. Being banded August 4th - 1 week to go! Each day starting today I am eating: 3 slim fast optima shakes or protien powder shakes Water and decafeinated tea w/ splenda (unlimited) 1 Protein meal (plain tuna or baked skinless chicken breast) sugar free Jello sugar free popsicles spinach or green Beans Any of you think with this I will be succesful in "shrinking my liver"? Thanks for any input!
  15. I am doing pre-op liquid diet and want to drink unsweet iced tea. Is the caffiene a no no? Thanks in advance!:help:
