Before I had children I was about 140 pounds. After I had my first two ('98 and '99) I still maintained my weight at around 140. After I had my third son I was about 165 pounds. Four babies later and I was over 200 pounds. 206 to be exact. That's when I knew I needed to do something. I've had a few co-workers that had WLS. One in particular had the lap band and would always talk about her success and how happy she was. She told me to just go to a seminar so that I can hear what its all about. I came to the conclusion that I didn't want to do something as drastic by having a gastric bypass but that the lap band was just what I needed. I was banded July 13, 2009. On the day of surgery I weighed exactly 200 pounds. Ten days later I was 192. Not sure what I am today because I vow to only weigh myself when I go to the docor. I am now trying to get right with my eating and excercising. I have no restrictions yet (I have a realize band) so I have pretty much been eating what I want. I do get full fast but I have found myself snacking in between meals. I really want to loose 50 pounds by my "bandiversary." My weight goal is to be 130 pounds.
