  4. Welcome to LBT. Let me know how I can help you. :)

  5. Schwarts is dry, no doubt. However, he is an awesome surgeon and if you tell the girls in the front that you need some extra time with him, they will let him know. HE WILL spend the time with you - just be sure to have your questions ready. He is awesome. I saw him 5-6 times after surgery and he is quick. Good surgeon. BTW, if you can see John, the PA, do that. That guy rocks. He is easy going and has a great sense of humor. Blessings to you!
  6. Hang in there Tayler. It does get better, and how good it will be. I'll be praying for you!

  7. There are not any. (nor would I go to one in SV) My surgeon was in Tucson. Dr. Schwartz.

    I have to confess....

You guys are all amazing. I have not had a fill yet and on my third week. I can eat pretty much anything as long as I chew to mush. Doc is ok with it. He says heal and don't worry about loosing yet. First fill on Aug 10th. I just tried popcorn (he said it was fine) and wow, it was awesome. Granted, it was air popped and I had only a bit, but if I was to cheat, this would be it. I don't know about you guys, but I love going to movies. That is therapy for me. I feel so much better after a good flick. I have been taking pistachios for a snack and that has helped. I can't wait to loose more weight. Thanks guys for your encouragement.

    Starbucks Coffee Anyone?

Starbucks is awesome! I have been making my own at home using their brew and my blender. It has worked well and I can control calories myself. On another note, I know I will get blasted for liking these, but I enjoy Monster energy drinks. I drink the low-carb and about two or three a week. Since banding, I have ventured a bit but it made me a spot sick. It has been the only thing thus far that has made me ill.

    Bad surgery day stories

You know, when it comes down to it, I would rather have an ass who is a great surgeon/doctor then a nice guy who is not as skilled. My doctor is in Tucson and he is very dry, and to the point. He is nice, will answer all your questions but will not chat with you or just shoot the breeze. When you are done, he leaves the room with a thank you. He is not the type to coddle. He is there to do a job and a good one he does. Nice does not always equal good. Just my 2 cents.
  13. Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone else was banded on 7/7 and if anyone is from Sierra Vista/Tucson. Looking for some support buddies! -Doc
  14. Hey girl. I was just banded on 7/7/09. I have felt the funk, but it does get better. I know it is sad now, but hang in there and try and keep your mind off of food. I have several projects I can do and that helps. Yes, the broth is nice and so is the sf popsicles. We are here for you. Come to the chat room. PM us, do whatever, but know that you are not alone. -Doc
  15. I was banded yesterday. Felt terrible yesterday and today is worse. It's not the pain, but ache that is bad. I cant lay down flat or else it hurts. I have to sleep in a recliner just to take the pressure off. I have tried walking, gasx and all, but no go. My stomach is rumbling and I feel hungry but the worst part is that I feel nauseated when I do consume liquids. When I stand, my lower gut hurts - what is next?
