  5. Hi guys, I was just wondering how you know and how soon you know if you have had too much in a fill as I live 200 miles away from my nearest clinic n its a bit of a way to get back :sneaky: Just read Gary's which made me wonder, how's yours now Gary? Also, does anyone know what day the fills are in Edinburgh with Fred or whoever does them? |I know this won't be a problem for a while as i'm only having my first fill in 2 weeks. Thanks, Sarah
  6. Congratulations Freckles on the new addition to your family, you look so happy in the pic and fab!x
  7. Hi Toppings, hope you are doing well. If you look a few pages back, there is a list of foods off SingingParrot with lots of suggestions. I have had salmon and Mackerel but chewed it loads and have nad no problems, plus Odge suggested the inside of quiche which is good. Today i am making a quorn cottage pie which can be very mushy with lots of gravy. Hope that helps x
  8. Hi Freckles your grandaughters room looks amazing, can i move there instead!! My mum unfortunately lives 380 miles away from me so i wont be seeing her for 7 weeks now I am on a night out on Saturday so might leave the dressings on until then and then take them off, thanks for your advice x
  9. Hi all, Just wanted to thank SP for the list of foods that can be tried. I can start mushies today and the list made going shopping much easier. I was just wondering when i can take my dressings off? My Mum took my stitches out for me as she's a nurse and she thought that i should only have them on e few more days, at the most a week. What is others experience of this? Thanks x
  10. Hi all, Just wanted to thank those of you who wished all of us that got banded this week good luck. I was done on Tuesday and recovery going well. Finding it hard to know if im full because im feeling so bloated. It was great to see so many fellow banders in the hotel and I hope you are all doing well too. My main problem has been the wind, its fine until i lie down to go to sleep and then it kicks in. Any ideas as to how long this will last as i cant burp to get rid of it, is this natural? Sarah x
  11. Hi Toppings, I'm getting on ok, had a couple of slip-ups but nothing major. Although my friends want to take me out for a meal before i go and not sureif its a good idea. I am taking the milk thistle tablets when i remember!!! It seems so real now, all i can think of is 'this time next week'!!! Where r u staying?x
  12. Hi Jackie, I'm finding the low fat diet ok, have had the occasional slip-up but nothing major. I am taking the milk thistle tablets when i remember!!! I didn't get a diet plan to follow but i am vegetarian so most of them don't suit me anyway. How are you feeling?x
  13. Gi topping I'm getting banded on the 11th August, how r u feeling about it and hows the low fat diet going?x
  14. Hi guys, Haven't been on for a while but just thought i would see if anyone else is having a band fitted on the 11th August? I started my pre-op diet yesterday, is it just low fat I need to stick to or is it low carbohydrate also? Cannot believe how quick this has come around, i'm sooooo nervous but very excited also. Was just wondering if anyone else has any other tips for me or words of advice? Sarah x
  15. Hi everyone, I'm new to the site and I was just wondering if anyone has any advice for me, I am going to be banded on the 11th August with CDB. I am really excited but also a little apprehensive. Is anyone else going out then or how does anyone feel after having it done? Any info would be really helpful, thanks, Maysh:smile:
