I have been overweight all of my adult life.  After having two sets of twins within 3 years I found myself 50 pounds heavier than my usual overweight self and with high blood pressure.  My kids are getting older and are very active.  I wanted to be able to play with them instead of always sitting and watching.  My surgery process was actually rather quick.  I was actually the reason it took as long as it did.  I first saw the surgeon in 12/08.  I wasn't sure so I waited to get the letter from my PCP until April.  Once my letter was submitted and psych eval completed I had approval within a month.
