Lori, DD is not thinking move, she is in school mode and only thinking that & grad day when we all come up. Her advisor suggested she have them delay for a month. Also she wants to be home for my nieces grad party to see everyone. I'm am not sure how the movers work. They said they would pay to move 10,000 lbs of household items. I'm getting this all thru her so I'm not sure if she has to hire a mover or they do. They are sending all the paperwork to my home as it is so close to her moving home. You know kids put it off, can't multi task like us moms. Its getting frustrating to me, guess I'm anal about planning the whole thing. I just keep telling myself take a deep breath, her life. ahhhh gotta love them. (I think) lol The route I mapped, already, shows us going right thru SLC. cbl Laura K

Jodi, That's funny about the standardized testing. I can remember my Mom telling about my sis testing for Kindergarten. They showed her a pic of a mailbox attached to the side of the house. She didn't know what it was. Out in the country mailboxes are on a post and different shaped. lol Julie, Wow does mimi look like her gma. So cute both girls. Staying busy trying to help DD prepare for grad and her move. Not sure of the date yet as she asked for them to delay it a month. Won't have enough time to complete her classes, grad, & move her home. Then have everything ready for the moving co. cbl Laura K

Apples, I spent one summer right after high school building Butler bins. GF & I were the outside workers feeding bolts and jacking up the rings and two guys inside. We got back at them when we knew they had hangovers by making sure our wrench slipped banging the side lots of times per day. lol Laura K

Apples, I live in farm country. Many of my EX's family farm big time like you do. So I understand that kind of stuff. Great, Happy Anniversary to you. Laura K

Happy B-day Linda... Apples, sorry for answering for you. Got my days of your departure mixed up. lol Laura K

Jodi, too funny about the farm and dumb NYrs. I'll answer for Apples, as she is traveling today. They have a cash crop farm, which means they grow crops. I don't think they have any farm animals at all. Dang that really limits you on where you could live if you have all those retrictions. Keep telling us about your religion, I am learning so much. Eva, What is "tea eggs"? Janet, I've been thinking about the self tanners because I feel so pale. I will get really dark soon though. Laura K

Cheri, Don't worry about me being offended. I love to read what you write and we all have our opinions. By only seeing the written word you don't get the feelings behind them which at times makes things hard. But carry on we are all diffrent but one on here. Laura K

Hi All, Thanks for the congrats. They wanted her to start on June 7th. She doesn't think she can get everything pulled together by then. She still has 2 weeks of school left before grad day. Also wants to be home for my nieces grad party to see everyone before she leaves. Looking like we will leave after June 20th. She will be in Tonopah NV, north of Vegas about 3 hrs. That's what we figured. We will be driving and I will fly back. Haven't gotten far enough to figure out the route. I will keep all you ladies posted so maybe we can meet. Thanks for all the good thoughts, crossed fingers and wishes. We are amazing when we put our minds to good thoughts. lol Laura K

Ok Ladies, got to share...... DD got offered the job. Yeah I'm moving her to NV. She has to respond to them then the ball gets rolling. Will move her home for about a month then they will move her out. I am going to ride out with her and fly back. I don't think either of our feet have touched the ground tonight. Laura K

LadyK, I got the Citracal Calcium Citrate + D3. They come in the Petites so they are easy to swallow. Got them at Walmart. Great, way to go on the bargins. You are the super shopper of the thread. Janet, good choice on putting the candy bar back. Eva, Take lots of pic, I just love hearing about all the things you are doing in your yard. I've got most of my flower beds cleaned and ready to go. We got frost the last two nights so still can't plant anything new yet. I have hyacinth beans started. I am going to make a living fence with them between the neighbors and me. So I will be making a new bed to encompass 4 trellises for them. Lori, gotta love cheese cake. cbl Laura K

Thank you.. It will but you know you have to do the work. The thread "I'm here to help" is a great one to join. I read it from the very beginning before I jumped in. Those ladies will answer any question you have. All stages of banded. You can do this and people will help you. Keep in touch, I may not be able to help you but they will. Be informed as much as you can so you know what to expect. I'll be thinking about you and wishing you well. Laura

Hi, They are pretty easy to do. First step is find big leaves. Rhubarb is the easiest to start with. Pour a mound of sand bigger than the leaf. Lay leaf over sand face down, you will be looking at the backside. Mix up quick create per directions. Trowel over leaf, stop just before the edge, put on about an inch deep. Let dry until it starts to be white. Flip over remove the dried up leaf. A small wire brush helps a lot to do this. Pick your colors, I paint the veins with a sm brush first. Mix the paint with water so it is white wash consistency, use a rag to cover both sides, multiple times so it's the color you want. If you don't water down the paint will peel off. Let dry and spray with a sealer. (Thompson has a nice one)
Good luch and beautiful leaves.

Jodi, You do such wonderful work with the kids. I'll tell you a story. A couple of weeks ago I ran into my DD 1st Consultant. She came to our home to work w/DD as we had just found out she was hearing impaired, DD was only 2 1/2. Worked with her for a yr & 1/2. Any ways I was telling her about DD graduating from college. We chatted for a bit and she told me she was having a moment in church that morning. Feeling down about her DD problems and life in general. She said she was thinking "I wonder if I have touched anyones life". OMG I couldn't get the words out fast enough to tell her my DD wouldn't be where she was today without her early intervention. So the moral of this story is Thank you for all the kids you help. Laura K

Julie, I am so glad you are feeling better. Rest all you can, once you're caught up then you'll be out exercising like everyone else. Quiet without Apples and Janet today. Laura K

Apples, my co-worker got a pair of the Fitflops last year. She said the same thing, very comfy right from the start. She could feel the difference in her legs. Cheri, it is so frustrating to get your kids/grands the help they need with special needs. Been there. Great, that sucks the way they treated you at your vol job. thanks for the congrats! LauraK

Hi All, I wanted to share a ahh moment I've had this week. I can run/jog a whole mile now. It suprised the heck out of me that I made it. Have done it twice now. Our park has a paved path that is a mile around the park. I walk one lap then ran one and walked another. I've been busy in my flower beds, when the weather is nice. Got them all in pretty good shape. Almost finished on my bedroom, just have to put up the trim work. Julie, glad you are feeling a bit better. Laura & Apples love the pics. Hotmom, welcome aboard. These ladies will help you out. cbl Laura K
