I just received the call that the surgery has been approved!!!! I am so excited. My surgery date is July 16th. I am looking forward to starting my new life as a healthier and thinner me.:thumbup:

Yes I am ready!!! My pre op liquid diet requirement is 7 days before surgery so I get to eat a little longer. I really want to have fun before my surgery so I have planned all kinds of outings. My surgeon is in VA so the surgery will be at Virgina Hospital Center. Have you done all of your pre op testing? Have you told anyone other than family about your decision to have the surgery? I am struggling with that decision. For now only 2 family members and 2 close friends know...my boyfreind doesnt know....

My pre op appointment was today...man there are a lot of things to do prior to the surgery. I was lucky enough to get all of my appointments on the same day!!! Ok, 15 more days to my birthday!

Is this really happening???? I am so excited and counting down the days. I have my pre op appointment tomorrow. Oh my, will they put me on a liquid diet??? Well, I'm ready to do this! I'm glad to have found this site so we can encourage each other as we strive to reach our goal.:thumbup: -
Hello, thanks for your post. We are both scheduled during the same week & we both live in MD. I live about 30 mins from Laurel. We must keep in contact to encourage each other through this process. Girl I am soooo looking forward to my birthday ~ July 16th. Please keep my posted on your process. Are you doing the pre op liquid diet?

I am so excited for us. I are taking our lives back in a big way!!! Iris, I know there will be a lot of heads turning and questions asked when I return to work in August.:thumbdown: Shh~~~ it's our little secret. LOL -

Congratulations!!! I was approved today as well. My surgery is scheduled for the 16th. Yah and congrats!!!!

Hello, I am eagerly awaiting the decision from Carefirst BCBS. My documents were submitted on June 12th and still nothing yet. I work for a public school system and was informed the 6 month supervised diet was not a criteria with their policy. AH....this waiting is driving me crazy. :bored: How long did your process take????
