    Tired and cold?

Two of the many questions asked by endocrinologist when checking for thyroid problems are "are you cold when others are not and are you tired". I have been on thyroid for 35 years now and I always have to answer the same questions. You might want to a ask your doc.
  4. I am Good. Glad all went well with you how are you feeling.

  5. The coroner’s report revealed the mysterious death of a seemingly healthy 38-year-old woman. Dr. L. Parks died of streptococcal sepsis, or blood poisoning, due to a “massive” intra-abdominal infection, said Bob Dempsey, coroner for San Miguel County in Colorado. “The infection was due to complications of gastric banding,” he said. “She had the surgery three weeks before she died, during he first week of November.” Found this and I thought I would post it to this older thread.
  6. thank you =) all went well how are you ?

  7. Funny - I'm hispanic too and trippin' on the 'no tortillas' thing! (I'm pretty sure tabasco and hot sauce is fine once you're healed). Soocalchic's post below just made my day. If it's just a temporary 6 month thing, I can handle it no problem. It was the 'no rice or tortillas for the rest of your life' thing that I just couldn't wrap my brain around. The more I read, the better I feel. I hope the same is true for you.

  8. No, today was my pre-op hospital made a mistake originally. My Band Date is Monday the 16th.

  9. Wow 6 months! Oh well, its probably because of growing up on that stuff that I am in this boat today LOL Looking forward to 6 months from now.

  10. Yes girl Im hispanic and i love hot sauce. I have a whole section in my fridge dedicated to this habbit lol.. From what i know we should be able to resume eating hot sauce just not right away. I plan on not having an overly tight band so shouldnt be a problem. My nutricionist said no rice, tortillas or bread for the first 6 months so thats going to be tough in itself.

  11. Honestly, it helps (a lot) to know that so many other people are experiencing the same excitement/nerves... mostly about living life with a band. I'm not that worried about the surgery itself. Everyone seems to get through that just fine. Matter of fact... I'm not sure but... is your procedure TODAY? Ohmygosh - that's fantastic! Well sweetie, take a deep breath and don't you worry about a thing. Everything's gonna be great!

Sending warm thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery and quick recovery. So excited for you!...

  12. Hi read your post (I, for one, keeping coming to this site to see if anyone else is as freaked-out as me!) let me tell you right now I Sure Am! What exactly is freaking you out? For me it is life after band. You will find great support here so keep reading the post. It does make me feel better to know that others are feeling the same. My band date is the 16th of Nov.

  13. Lucky you! Oh well maybe it will help with my cravings since I already went through the headache period and the dam I'd like a platter of nachos stage. I should be good to go. I am guessing but are you hispanic? I am, and I can not eat anything unless I use chiles or Tabasco or whatever other hot sauces I can find. Don't know if I can continue that after band.

  14. Hi , Hope all went well. Mine is on Monday the 16th. It will be nice to see your post this week. That is if you feel up to posting. It sure helps calm the nerves to read about others that went right before you .
