hi all after I have had a fill I GET THE WORST EVER reflux - omg its so bad I vomit all the time in my sleep Wake up chocking its so ****. Does anyone else get like that?

Hey all yes I was 160 kilos now Im hoovering around 86/87...... :) great feeling... Good luck all, u can do it. some days are tough others arnt. Just remember its ok to eat bad food just excersize later on. oh b4 my band I was like size 26 now Im a size 14/16... Ummmm and Im adding a pic of me NOW!!!

hey ya'll hows it going, in my posts a few months ago I swore to u all I was going to die and I was a very sick little gurl, couldnt eat anything my body rejected all the medication, fainting, I looked gaunt, pail and ill, I was dehydrated and malnurished...So went in to have the band taken out.......then they did a ultra sound of my stomach and guess what? I had gall stones........1000's of them little ones and massive ones...12 months I was pretty much in agony for...it was the crappiest time of my life. I Was 160 kilos and I got down to 79 in that time... I have 1mill in my band now and since january I am back upto 87 kilos, I am going to get more fill in my band BUT I just needed time to recover, remember what it was like to be alive and well and eat and just be happy, its now april and Im feeling the goodness of life again. Did it scare me? hell yes...did I think I had made the biggest mistake of my life...oh god yeah, but u know at the end with being so sick I seriously didnt have the energy anymore... So just in case ur experiencing pain and they think its ur band, the pain I had was MASSIVE I would end up in hospital... massive pain after anything I ate I got it in my ribs and in my back, they knew the muscle around my ribs was inflammed but like they thought it was from my band. Soooooooooo thats me so far... hope everyone is doing well. Take care. Love Simmah.......... oh p.s. when i did have the gall bladder out I found it hard to eat I was soooooooooo scared of getting fat again lol though im dissapointed on putting on the wieght I have now its Ok, cuz I will loose it again, but like isnt that wierd I spend my whole life being a food addict then Im to scared to eat, well im not now lol. xoxoxoxoxoo.

Hi all, how are u? Brief run down of me: Simmy, 25 years old and I live in australia. I have had the band since October 2005. I have lost nearly 80 kilos. I was 155 kilos now I will be down to nearly 80 kilos... PROBLEM: I cant eat solids, i live on soup and chocolate and I can not tolerate food otherwise I end up in hospital with MASSIVE pain in my ribs and back... Went to docs they feel somthing is wrong and I have to have a barrium mill thing tomorrow. Was in hospital yesterday as it feels as though my ribs and tummy are being sucked from my insides...soooo painful. Doc feels I will proble have to have it out BECAUSE I either am rejecting the band of there is some kind of slippage. But the last 5 days has been hell I havent been able to eat anything, dehydrated, vomiting, hospital, reflux oh how shit. The band was put in to high so that hasnt helped things. But because of all this I lack so much energy and get sick all the time. Which totally sucks. I can have the option of having another band put in. Or having it taken out completly. I do not ever in my life wanna be like I was BUT i do know my brain. U are the only people I honestly can say that too on this site lol cuz otherwise people look at me like im a freak. I just wanna be normal have a normal life. Tell me some things... What is the operation to have the band removed? is it key hole or open surgery? how much did it cost? how long where u in hospital for and how long did it take to get back to normal eating? I was banded in Octobr 2005 its been 14 months and I have lost 75 kilos!!! I was 155 kilos now Im 85 kilos.

Banded on the 13th of October 2005. Wieght b4 surgery: 155 kilos. Wieght TODAY: 92 kilos. Dress Size B4: 24 - 26 Dress Size now: 16 I have had 2 fills and the restriction was way to tight. So now I AM OFFICIALLY...UNFILLED, its still tight but its only been 2 weeks.

hello all, just a little up date Im 11 months banded 63 kilos gone FOREVER and its been Hard yakka. Anyways I went and got a second opinion because I was having hard time eating anyting at all and I was in and out of hospital with rib and back pain anyways. New specialist took out all my fluid, so thats pretty cool. But I can only eat tiny amounts still and it practically has to be pureed otherwise off to the hospital or I just take 3 - 4 panadol and that helps. Anyways how much should a person be able to eat and what should they be able to eat with no fluid now??? and lately apart from the vomiting I seem to get this discomfort/pain feelin sorta under my left rib...does anyone know what this is? My port has moved cause I have lost so much wieght, but its not that. Ummm I go back to specialist in 2 weeks. He wanted to try no fill for 4 weeks. I am still loosing wieght only cause I Cant eat much at all lol. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo what do u think peoples??? its the left sided pain its almost like aheavy/stitch/uncomfy feeling??? after I eat and during eating. I also have to eat like EXTRA slow. A meal for me is 2 - 3 olives and 4 cashew nuts which takes around 1/2 hour to eat lol. CHEERS Sim.

Just had a really tight band and it has stopped me from not eating much at all. This has caused alot of pain and i have had a few trips to hospital. Its a bit of a bugger, going to see a new specialist soon and he might be able to help me. Basically I live on sloppy foods. BUT I just think its not going to be like this for ever...so keep my head up high and try and think positive. HEY FOLKS. JUST A QUICK MSG TO LET YOU ALL KNOW...:biggrin1: I AM 99 KILOS. OH MY GOD :clap2: CAN YOU BELIVE IT... I WAS 155 KILOS now after 9 and half months im 99 kilos. ITS BEEN THE HARDEST 9 MONTHS OF MY LIFE. but its been worth it. :cool: :scared:

hello everyone just me here again I hope some one can help me, as we all know my band is a naughty little bugger. But today its worse than usual, Near the port site which is near my belly buton left hand side. I feel as if its all tight and kinda heavy feelings as if its got a stich sorta feeling...its mildly painful but nothing huge... What is this wierd feeling? its only been happenin a couple of hours. I havent had anything out of the ordinary...Its strange... ANYONE? lol

I remember my first ever BP OH MY GOD. U coulda ripped the lap band right out there and then. I was at a hardware store. and I ate a chip with about 100 kilos of gravy stacked on top of it. CHEW CHEW CHEW CHEW CHEW CHEWed till the cows come home then swolloed. Then I stopped dead in my tracks too, I said to mum oh my god my chest it hurts, its like my chest is caving in. I burped and I salived all over the place, I sweated and couldnt breath, the pain was horrific. then around 20 minutes of walking around holding my chest out side, praying and crying it went through. Ive also had a few vomits, they are better cuz it almost comes up, but when its stuck OH LORD. Good Luck. Needless to say I never ate a chip again lol.
