Hello! I'm 23, from Kansas City! I've been contemplating weight loss surgery for almost 3 years now. Attempted to get approval for the lap band once, but lost steam as I know people who've been banded and have had little to no weight change. I learned about VSG from research and finally decided to pursue insurance approval in June of 2010. Aetna required a 3 month diet which I completed in September of 2010. My insurance approval was delayed because of missing paperwork. I finally got all my paperwork turned in October of 2010, and was approved less than a week later! I will be sleeved November 15th 2010 by Dr. Brent Sorensen at St. Lukes in Kansas City, MO.
