Laurend, I had days where I had little energy. I can remember driving to the gym and turning around and leaving at least 2 times. Stupid. I went home and ate some straight up protein. edie

Lucy,

I just wanted to add my two cents.

I am almost 3 months at goal and for the first time in my life the weight is staying off . I had always went off my "diet" when I reached goal and went right back to my old habits.

My band is there for me still. I eat but get FULL.

It is so nice not to be so worried about my next fix of food. I was obsessed before. It was almost a part time job . I always had to make sure I had shopped for food. I couldn't watch a movie unless I had lots of food to go along with it.

Best wishes,

edie

Trying to decide what is right for me...
edieparks replied to Unsure in TO's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Dear Unsure, I hear you. I started getting heavy at age 14 . I yo yo dieted myself to 276lbs in my 40's. When I heard about banding I was scared but the surgery sounded so LESS drastic then bypass which I would not even consider. I knew that in 10 more years I would be HEAVIER. Look into this as much as you can. Even go to a seminar. You don't have to get going on the surgery just go for the education. Get your life back and best wishes, edie -
I can only eat a small amount at a time. 2 or 3 shrimp and small amount of veggie. I could probably eat in another hour but I choose not to. I had 2 fills in 6 months (don't know the numbers). edie

How long does it take to recover?
edieparks replied to Lisa H's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I would have been able to go back to a desk job the following Monday after my Wed surgery. I did work a desk job for 17 years (hated it). I have been a pet groomer for 8 years now. edie -
