    Scared to death!

I know this is hard to believe but I switched my thinking about food all the time to exercise. I would get a high from it . It would make the scales go down which would get me high too. It could happen for you too!? Best wishes, edie
  4. Ross I hope I can help with the heartburn . I still get heartburn if I eat too fast. I had to learn to eat slowly, not a snails pace but thoughtfully. Best wishes, edie
  5. I love your thread. I too was concerned. When my reg md was so impressed by my lab test numbers and approved me from anywhere in 140 to 160 I was so relieved. My husband and even told me if he wants you to get down to 130 the doctor and hubby were going to have problems. I am diabetic . I have went from 12 pills and 2 shots to just 2 pills a day. I take hormone ( just first 12 days ) and anti depressant now. No more shots . Woo hoo. I want to think that even being young you will get blood work done every year or whatever your md doctor suggests. edie

    Hi I am new here

If your doctor doesn't like lap band try lap-band.com to find a doctor in your area . It is the website for the company that makes the band. That is how I found a surgeon the company recommended. edie

  8. I REALLY feared this too. I was almost at goal in Feb 07 and have not gained back. I still get very full and hate that heart burn feeling. I avoid it and sometimes I think I quit eating too soon. My tastes have changed too. I have had a pan of bro****s on my counter with Ger*** ******** icing and have not had one. Whodathunkit? edie

15 lbs!! Almost a 20 lb bag of dog food. Heavy. Be proud . I was proud at 20,40, 50 was a big milestone. When I had lost 90 I wondered JUST HOW did I carry that around. Best wishes, edie

    July 2006 Band Crew

A little algebra problem ((goal weight times mega exercising) divided by normal intake of calories) equals under goal weight My hubby want some booty . He wants my jeans to tighten up a little. My dr approved for me anywhere between 140 to 160 lbs. Hubby pushes (hopes) for 155. I am the very least measurement for large bone frame. Heard that before lol. edie

    July 2007 Bandsters

Dear Lynnette and pre bander July 07, I started in June of 06 trying to walk about 1/2 mile and could do it in about 35 minutes. Bad knees. I also started to try swimming about 1/2 hour every other day . Walk one day and swim the next. As the weight came off , my knees became stronger. At the end of trying to get to my goal I was walking about 4 miles plus a extra slow 1 to 2 miles with my pet. I can walk 4 miles in 1 hour and 10 minutes now. Now that I have reached goal I walk about 2 miles a day. BUT I am so much more active now I am sure I burn calories. So I 1. Made sure I got my liquids in. I put them in 20 oz bottles and TRIED to drink 4 a day. 2. TRIED to get my exercise in , building up more and more and felt great about it. I even do weights (about 15) minutes when I walk at the gym 3. Followed my doctore food guidelines very closely. I ate about 1000 to 1100 calories each day Good luck all, edie

    new to this

Dear Bummed, You can drink all the flat coke you want!!!! I love how I feel in my 12 jeans. It is the only thing I really have had to give up. Well gooey bread but I always loved the crust the best anyway. I would love to have a Diet Mountain Dew but I have found other things to drink that I like just as much. edie

    Lost

I loved Lost before it was on. The previews were so exciting to me. I love to read this genre. Horror/sci-fi has been a big part of my life since I was about 11 years old. When my husband say the previews he says that looks like a show you will love. I said I know (drooling). Remember Twin Falls. I love that one too. My fav character is Hugo. He sure scored some points for the fat people didn't he? edie a "Lostie" I love Locke character too.
