I just used sf Carnation instant breakfasts or off brand. Now I use regular carnation instant breakfast meals. They taste good. All flavors. edie

BEST thing and money I have ever done and spent on myself. Best wishes and I hope you will be only as sore as I was. I only had 2 days of very very mind tenderness/soreness . I still took advil ever 12 hours for 5 days per surgeon. I considered it my mini vacation. edie

I loved Julie's post too. My deciding point for me was I KNEW myself. I was going to yo yo diet myself into a stroke or heart attack. I felt to say my life or of being a cripple (not a pc term for sure) I had to take the risk with the band. My hubby kept asking was I sure because he knew I loved to eat. I told him I have ate everything I have ever wanted to eat and I was tired of eating. I was tired of the control food had over me. I control food now . I am banded woman! edie

What I don't miss: I love being able to sit anywhere and on pretty much anything. I used to fear outdoor furniture. I needed to sit the other day and even sat on a outside footstool. It felt so cool not having the fear I would break it. edie

I always hated that I had to check where I could sit to see if it would support me. I NEVER wanted to break a chair. Sometimes I would just stand and well meaning friends would say sit, sit. I would finally have to tell them why . I was ok with admitting it but I think they were embarrassed then. edie

I saw a segment on Headline news tonight of Kevorkian getting out and he looks good. He was really smiling. The newcast said he has agreed not to assist anyone else but his views have not changed. The newscast also said he is Larry King's guest Monday June 4 2007. I plan on watching it. edie
